The term "Final Fantasy" essentially means "Last Dream." If they're all a "Last Dream," then why does the series continue? I figure it's because each game is an entire story within itself, with universal morals and a little bit of fantasy to it. In other words, I think they're all called "Final Fantasy" because it's the end of an unrealistic occurrence of some sort. I can, however, be wrong in my interpretation... |

Hee hee...This one may be kinda' biased since I think Sephiroth is the BEST animated character ever created! But then again, each of the other characters did have a personal purpose for trying to save the Earth from the Sephiroth's evil clenches...(so then it isn't really biased, now is it? lol) |

I suppose that Aeris' death was supposed to bring tears to the eyes...Aeris was my favorite female character and all, but then again, Sephiroth was also my favorite character (hee hee...favorite male character, that is). Actually, I felt kinda sorry for Aeris and angry at Sephiroth, but I sorta' began to laugh when I saw him smiling. You see something that can bring tears to my eyes is something that will get 10/10 for storyline, and this did not (-1). But the whole Shinra scheme as well as JENOVA, Sephiroth, Aeris and the Cetra's role in the story did make it rather interesting... |

When Sephiroth stabbed Aeris I think that blood & gore should have been gushing out! Geez, I mean what's up with the invisible blood?! I know that it was rated "T," but then again, so was Final Fantasy VIII (and no, I'm not comparing it to FF8, I just think that if other "T" rated games could have B&G, so could this one). Other than that it was rather stimulating, so 9/10. |

I honestly don't like the fact that the character designs fluctuate so much. I mean, the CG's are look pretty good, however, the appearance of the characters looks quite different. I personally think that the characters should have 1 design throughout the entire game. A good example would be when Cloud fought Rufus. Rufus looked really tall and adult-like. During certain animated sequences he looked short and chubby (child-like). Another change that he undergoes is the scene in which the Shinra building was hit and he supposedly died. During that CG scene he looked older again...those were some transitions... As for the music, Nobuo Uematsu is quite possiby the best modern day composer, so no complaints there. |

My Advice=Play it. It may not be the best nowadays in terms of appearance, but it was relatively good for the time, making it a true classic. You MUST get your hands on it, whether you are a Final Fantasy fan or not. The storyline is pretty interesting... |
