Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Title Relevance | This one is self explanatory. This is what you, Sam Fisher, are: A Splinter Cell (a spy) and you're now a Double Agent (derf). | |
Characters | 8/10 | The protagonist (Sam Fisher), the dude giving you advice (Lambert), and the new guy (Williams, who is an annoying ass), were all well-rounded. Still, it's missing A LOT. (-1) The enemies are flat. They didn't go into detail with the Sam/Enrica thing. (-1) |
Story-line | 5/10 | They could have done MUCH better than this. As a HUGE fan of the Spinter Cell series, I am VERY DISAPPOINTED. |
Action | 10/10 | Didn't change much. Same old gadgets and everything, but hey, that's what we all love about it. |
Graphics/Music | 10/10 | Excellent soundtrack by Behavior! It's probably the only good thing about this game. For the first time in the series, the soundtrack is better than the game. How ironic. |
Miscellaneous | 7/10 | Again, just as in the first game, there is a complete lack of drama. They just suck at making something dramatic (-1). You'll know what I mean when you see the ending and go "WTF?" Also, the meter that shows your loyalty to either the JBA or NSA is practically useless. No matter what side you're on, you'll always be on the NSA's side and Emile will still label you a traitor in the end, so what's the point of giving us a choice when we really don't have one?? (-2) |
Overall= | 40/50 (80%) | For a game like this to bear the "Splinter Cell" logo, it's a total disappointment. But compared to a lot of games out there, Double Agent isn't that bad, and for $20, it's worth it. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend the second version (XBOX 360/PS3/PC) because, from what I've read, it has A LOT more features (matter of fact, the level designs and plot are radically different). Bottom line? Get the 360! |
