In reoccurring dreams, the mythic Celtic warrior, Cuchullain appeared and instructed Butler and the boys to take up the mantle of the ancient science music of the Celtic race. The lads then suddenly developed certain extra powers not explained by ordinary hearing standards. If you listen closely, you can hear an inexplicable drone resounding throughout time into the next millennium... this is Superkeltic.

LA WEEKLY Magazine - Music Review Superkeltic at Molly Molone's
Why is the freshest shit sometimes the most ancient? Take Superkeltic. Lead guitar man Butler has channeled the centuries-old bagpipe music of Ireland and Scotland through his axe and come up with an original yet deep-rooted style. He fingers line after line of carefully distorted reels, jigs, and airs, sometimes sweetly melancholy like Irish uilleann pipes, other times blaring and martial like their Highland cousins. But these Molly's Monday-night regulars are not just a variation on the traditional ceilidh band -- there's something menacing and mystical about these hard-case lads. The funky marching-band beats of drummer Andrew MacAllen and the firm underbody boom of bassist Steven Haley add more strong flavors to the stew. When the dark, rocky rumble of "Ill-Gotten Gains" transforms before your ears into a galloping electric jam on the Irish trad "Fox Chase," it'll be time to tip your Guinness high and signal the barkeep for yet another round.
