Honshuu Great Style Scythe
Honshuu Great Style Scythe is the waza used by Kammatari. Though there are few techniques I though I would talk about it. Usually when someone weilds a scythe they must be accurate and even then they are pround for weaknesses especially in their defense. When someone makes a swing with a scythe its huge blade makes it powerful but leaves the person completly open if it mises due to the weight and speed it takes to weild the scythe. So Kammatari has made up for this, instead of weilding a regular scythe he has added a ball and chain at the bottom. True it adds extreme weight to scythe and would be even more diffucult to weild but it makes up for it by its defensive purposes. See, when you swing downwards the ball and chain goes fowards protecting the individual thus making up the persons defense.
Standard Sub-Waza's Benten Mawashi- Kammatari's scythe is made differently at the end of the scythe there are two points sticking out. The use of these is quite simple after the blade is broken, the individual would drive these points in the links of the ball and chain spinning them at high speeds then letting the force built up by the spinnning take the ball and chain towards the desired point by aim. Used mostly as a projectile. Midare Benten-(*Kammatari's ultimate attack*) This is truly a great technique, since it acts as an attack and defense in one. By doing this technique the individual can go on the offensice while still having a defense. The muscles in the arm must be built up, the individual would spin the heavy scythe at high speeds causing the ball and chain to spin around heavyly making for the defensive part. The individual would spin this combination in a sphere like formation giving the blade a viscous ofense and keeping the defense that the ball and chain provided. |
