Misao-dono was born into the niwabanshuu and was the granddaughter of the previous okashira. Her parents died when she was a little girl she was raised by the ideals and dreams of the Oniwabanshuu by Shinomori Aoshiand the fellow Oniwabanshuu members that followed Aoshi's ideas. Misao loved Aoshi with all her heart, so after they left Misao was taken care of by Okina. When she grew up she left in search for Aoshi and the other Oniwabanshuu.
Misao is good for one thing and that is comedic relief. Combined with Yahiko they are the funniest pair out of the Ruruoni Kenshin series. She is a decent fighter but that dosn't help her when facing tough opponents. When she first met Kenshin she did her special jump kick that connected with Kenshin's stomach. Now we all know that Kenshin can't take Physical hits that well but he knows how to lessen the impact of the hits. Now he let Misao connect with her jump kick with evrything she has, and nothing happened. The question was why, and Kenshin replied saying there was little force coming from the kick. Don't misunderstand me I don't think Misao isa terrible character is just that i don't really care much for her. She is quite funny and she is important to the development of other characters mostly Aoshi but I just don't really care for her character in comparison to others.
