Anji was a monk when he took care of a group of children. the childrens parents were killed during the bakamuatsu. The president of the village, that Anji and the children were living in, told them that they were going to burn down there house and to get out. Unfortunately Anji agreed to the terms. During the night Anji was meditating in the waterfalls and the two men sent by the president of the village burned down the the house while the children were still inside. Anji didn't make in time and the children were burned to death. Anji was forever scarred and vowed revenge. Few years later Anji bulked himself up and killed the men who killed the children. The "Futae no Kiwami" was created in the process.

Since Anji's intense training with Futae no Kiwami he is known as a true human weapon being able to devastate any opponent with his Futae no Kiwami skills.
