Taban Ashtear comes from a long line of inventors and craftsmen, and is the father of perhaps the most skilled inventor of any time. He takes pride in his skill to build almost anything out of scratch, though he'll be the first to admit that his inventions don't always work.
Taban didn't participate in the momentous events that propelled his daughter and her friends through the corridors of time, but he was always at the sidelines, doing what was necesarry to assisst his daughter in her quest, making items that would help them win the fight against Lavos.
Now, six years later, Taban is in the thick of things, right in the middle of a battle to save a world that is not his own, and possibly many others besides. He doesn't like it one bit, but knows his skills can greatly benifit his friends and allies in the fight ahead. |
