RAW kicked off from the Arco Arena in Sacramento, California, with reigning Federation Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin walking into the Alliance locker room to a chorus of cheers. He told the Alliance members that he has led by example, and that his hard work and dedication would rub off on the other stars of the Alliance, which could only lead to more victories for Team WCW/ECW.

The first match of the night was a six-woman tag team match, pitting Lita, Molly Holly and Jacqueline against three Alliance divas – Ivory, Stacy Keibler and Torrie Wilson. The rematch from Sunday Night HEAT saw Jacqueline pin Ivory to give the Federation women the win!

Backstage, the Dudley Boyz told Test that after his performance with them at SummerSlam, he could team with them any time he wanted. At that point, ECW owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley interrupted the men and said that she wanted to have a word with her ex-fiance.

Stephanie told Test that although they didn’t end their engagement on a great note, she felt they had grown up a lot since then. She thought that Test could help the Alliance tremendously, and she said he could start by taking out Chris Jericho on RAW! Test said that Stephanie always was a bitch, but he has always liked that about her. He said that he would battle Y2J later in the night!

The new WCW Champion – The Rock – made his way to the ring to the delight of the thousands in attendance in the Arco Arena.

He said that he had taken Booker T to school at SummerSlam, bragging by saying he taught Booker T "People's Elbow 101”, “Advanced Rock Bottom 407," and "Getting your monkey ass whipped 1-2-3." He said that the biggest lesson he taught Booker T was that he could act like The Rock and he could talk like The Rock, but there is only one Great One! The People’s Champ then said that he wanted Booker to come out and stand face-to-face with him. At that point, Booker T’s music hit … but it wasn’t the former WCW Champion that made his way out. Instead, it was a midget dressed like Booker T! The Rock told the small Booker that he wanted to see the move that he could do better than anyone else – the Spinaroonie. After nailing his rendition of Booker T’s move, he then did the Moonwalk, the Running Man and even a Deion Sanders impression. As The Rock continued to taunt the micro-sized Booker T, Lance Storm made his way to the ramp. He told The Rock that it was a sad day when mocking your opponent via a midget was humorous. Storm told the Great One that the only funny thing in the ring was the fact that The Rock was holding the WCW Championship. Storm then challenged the People’s Champ to a WCW Championship match later in the ring, which prompted The Rock to ask the question, “Who in the blue hell are you?” The Rock finally accepted Storm’s challenge, and as he left the ring, Storm superkicked the midget Booker T in the face!

The APA, Scotty 2 Hotty, Big Show, Billy Gunn and Spike Dudley teamed up to take on the Dudley Boyz, Chuck Palumbo, Sean O’Haire, Hugh Morrus and Tommy Dreamer in a 12-man tag team match. The match saw all twelve men deliver their finishing maneuvers on each other, capped by a monster chokeslam on Tommy Dreamer by the Big Show for the win. After the match, the six Federation stars stood united in the ring as the Alliance members scurried back to the locker room.

In a pre-taped segment, Hurricane Helms explained that, as a kid, he was fascinated by superheros—especially the Green Latern. He said that, in the past few months, Stone Cold has shown him what it takes to be a super-sized hero in the sports-entertainment business. He finished by saying that Austin was now his favorite superhero.

Chris Jericho made his way to the ring and told the crowd that, at SummerSlam, he had finally beat the vicious Rhyno. He said, however, that Rhyno showed him that he truly had a set, unlike Test. He said he was disgusted by the fact that Test had reunited with his ex-fiance, Stephanie. The comments led to Test coming to the ring, accompanied by Stephanie, for their one-on-one match. During the match, Y2J grabbed Steph, who was on the apron, when Rhyno made his way out. Rhyno and Jericho battled outside the ring, until Jericho turned his attention to the Billion Dollar Princess.

He eventually chased her into the ring, where an awaiting Test nailed Y2J in the face with a big boot for the 1-2-3 win.

Backstage, Edge was shining up his newly-won Intercontinental Championship when Christian entered the room. He said that not only are they seven-time Tag Team Champions, two-time Intercontinental Champions and the 2001 Kings of the Ring, but after his match with Matt Hardy on RAW, they will also be European Champions as well. Edge then wished Christian luck as his younger brother walked out of the room with the King of the Ring trophy.

In another pre-taped segment, Shawn Stasiak attempted to give his thoughts on Stone Cold, but he continued to mess up his promo take after take. Stasiak finally uttered something to the effect that Austin was his inspiration.

Mick Foley was hosting RAW at WWF New York, and J.R. asked the former Federation Commissioner his thoughts on the Stone Cold/Kurt Angle Federation Championship match at SummerSlam. Foley said he had never kicked out of a Stone Cold Stunner, but Angle did it three times in their match. He said that he and the other Superstars knew how tough Angle was before the match, but he said that thanks to his gut-wrenching performance at SummerSlam, the whole world now knows the intensity of their Olympic hero.

The Rock then defended his WCW Championship against the Alliance’s Lance Storm. The Great One made short work of the former Intercontinental Champion, winning the match after a Rock Bottom.

Little Booker T then came down the ring, and The Rock told him to give him the fallen Storm a People’s Elbow, which he did. The Rock watched on as Bookette T then gave the crowd two more renditions of the Spinaroonie.

Next up, Christian challenged Matt Hardy for the Federation’s European Championship. Before the match, Christian said that everyone knew that the people of Sacramento were paying millions of dollars to Chris Webber for a championship that he was never going to win, but not to worry. He said he would win the European Championship for them free of charge. Christian looked to have the match won after hitting a reverse DDT, but Hardy kicked out. Hardy then countered with his Twist of Fate to retain the European Championship.

J.R. and Paul Heyman then took a look back at the brutal WWF Championship match between Stone Cold and Kurt Angle that took place just 24 hours earlier at SummerSlam.

Backstage, Booker T had just arrived at the building and, to his surprise, everyone backstage was laughing at him.

Backstage, Michael Cole interviewed Diamond Dallas Page about his match with Sara on RAW. DDP said that even though he was hurting from his cage match at SummerSlam, it was all worth it because it’s obvious that Sara made this match with him because she wanted to be with him.

In yet another pre-taped segment, Tazz said that he wanted to thank Stone Cold for bringing back the old Tazz.

He said Austin had truly led by example, and he was thankful that the Rattlesnake had made the man from Red Hook tougher than he already was.

Commissioner William Regal and Tajiri were looking at the latest RAW Magazine when Booker T entered their office. Booker was furious that people were laughing at him, and he wanted a rematch with The Rock. Regal said that The Rock had already defended the WCW Championship earlier in the show against Lance Storm, and much like Booker T the night before, he came up a little “short.” Tajiri was laughing at Booker, which prompted the former five-time WCW Champion to challenge Tajiri to a match.

Still dressed in his street clothes, Booker T came to the ring. He said that ever since he came to the Federation, he had been disrespected. However, he said, that would all change on RAW. He then called out the Japanese Buzzsaw, Tajiri. Booker T brutally assaulted Tajiri, choking him out with his shirt, which led to the WCW official calling for a disqualification.

Sara was preparing for her match against DDP when Taker asked her if she was sure she wanted to go through with it. She assured her husband that she definitely wanted to face Page, and the duo made their way to the ring.

Next up, DDP took on the Undertaker’s wife, Sara. Page grabbed the microphone and told Sara that he knew she wanted to get physical with him. DDP gave her the first shot, and Page retaliated by pushing her to the ground.

Taker, who was at ringside, pulled Page outside the ring and began to pepper shots on his wife’s stalker. He ended up slamming Page on the ground before throwing him into the ring, which allowed Sara to cover the fallen Page for the win.

The last segment of RAW saw the collective members of the Alliance come to the ring for what they dubbed Austin Appreciation Night. Paul Heyman got on the mic and said that there has never been a man that has led any alliance as well as Stone Cold Steve Austin. He then called for Austin to come to the ring. The Federation Champion came out to a chorus of boos from the crowd. Heyman told Stone Cold that he personally wanted to thank Austin for what he had done for the sports entertainment industry, and he said others wanted to express their thanks as well. Hurricane Helms presented the Rattlesnake with his own, personal Green Latern t-shirt.

Next, Kanyon entered the ring and said that for years everyone had asked, “Who betta than Kanyon?” At SummerSlam, however, Kanyon said that Austin had proved that he was the best, and he presented Austin with a “Who betta than Austin?” t-shirt.

Heyman then introduced Mrs. Rattlesnake, Debra. Debra said that she knew that Austin was tired from his match with Angle, so she had stayed up all night baking her famous cookies for the Rattlesnake.

Heyman then said that the Alliance wanted to present a video tribute to the Rattlesnake, which they began to play in the Arco Arena.

The video highlighted every offensive maneuver that the Stone Cold had inflicted on Federation Superstars since joining Team WCW/ECW. Heyman then introduced the woman that had paid for the tribute, Mrs. Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley. Steph told all the Alliance members to come into the ring to pay their respects to Stone Cold. The Billion Dollar Princess told Lilian Garcia to enter the ring and since their version of “Wind Beneath My Wings,” which was appropriately titled “Wind Beneath Our Ring.” Garcia began to sing, but Steph cut her off, asking her where her heart was? Steph said that she would take over and lead the crowd in song. Stephanie then proceeded to screech out the lyrics to the song, before Chavo, Terri and the rest of the Alliance chimed in to help.

After the conclusion of the song, Austin said that that moment was one of the greatest and proudest moments of his life. He said that he beat Kurt Angle’s ass for each and every member of Team WCW/ECW. He then saw that Tazz was not wearing a WCW, ECW or Stone Cold t-shirt – he was wearing an orange Tazz t-shirt. He was telling the man from Red Hook to take off the shirt, when Kurt Angle’s music hit the arena. As Austin turned toward the ramp, he saw Kurt Angle driving a giant milk truck to the ring! Angle started hurling milk cartons into the ring. He then picked up a hose and began to spray milk all over the Alliance members in the ring!

He then celebrated on top of the milk truck by downing milk carton after milk carton as RAW went off the air!

Emanating from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colo., SmackDown! kicked off live with a Hardcore Championship rematch from SummerSlam with Rob Van Dam defending his title against the unpredictable Jeff Hardy. Both men showcased their respective high-flying maneuvers until Van Dam set up a table outside the ring. RVD attempted to suplex Hardy from the top rope through the table, but Hardy reversed it with a hurricanrana, which catapulted the Hardcore Champ back into the ring. Hardy grabbed a ladder from under the ring and set it up next to the table. The challenger then laid Van Dam on the table and climbed to the top of the steel structure. Hardy went for his patented Swanton Bomb off the ladder, but RVD moved, forcing Hardy to slam through the table and onto the floor. Several Federation officials ran to ringside and helped the high flyer to the back. As RVD watched Hardy being wheeled away, Raven attacked his fellow Alliance member from behind. Van Dam finally got the momentum back on his side, eventually winning the match after hitting his Five-Star Frog Splash on Raven for the win.

As RVD celebrated, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley walked down the ramp and told the production team to stop the music. She said she couldn’t believe that two members of the Alliance were fighting each other. She berated the men and told them to shake hands, but the two would not comply with the ECW owner’s demands.

At that point, Stone Cold Steve Austin made his way to the ring, obviously furious that the unity of the Alliance was wavering. The Rattlesnake told both men that they were embarrassing the Alliance. He told both men to go back to the Alliance’s locker room and act like professionals.

Stone Cold then told the crowd that Kurt Angle did ruin Austin Appreciation Night this past Monday on RAW, but the Olympic hero would not get away with it. The Rattlesnake said that he should be appreciated 365 days a year anyway. Stephanie told Stone Cold that everyone in the Pepsi Arena appreciated the Texas Rattlesnake, but she was cut short by Chris Jericho’s music. The Lionheart made his way to the ramp and told Stephanie to shut the hell up! Y2J said that he knew the Alliance would be in full force on SmackDown! because they had the greatest weapon known to man – Stephanie’s singing voice! He even went on to play a clip from RAW, showing the Denver crowd how Stephanie crooned “Wind Beneath Our Ring.” Jericho said he had his own song for Austin, and he began to sing “Did you ever know that you’re a jackass?” to the Federation Champion. Y2J then asked Austin another question stemming from RAW – ‘Got Milk?” – and he played another clip from RAW showing Angle drenching the Alliance with milk. At that point, Jericho challenged Stone Cold to a Federation Championship match on SmackDown! Austin said that he would put the title on the line … but not tonight.

He said Y2J didn’t deserve a shot for the gold, but he agreed to face Jericho in a non-title match, and if he defeated the Rattlesnake, Y2J would become the No. 1 contender for the Federation Championship!

The Dudley Boyz took on the team of Billy Gunn and Big Show. Show dominated the Dudleyz, taking both men out with massive clotheslines. The Dudley Boyz recovered and attempted a 3-D on Big Show, but the 500-pound monster was too heavy for them to life. Show then hit a chokeslam on D-Von and covered him to give the Show-Gunns the upset victory!

The Rock was walking down the hallway when he ran into a production crew member. He asked the man if he had seen APA, and he directed The Rock down the hall.

The WCW Champion walked into the APA’s office, and Bradshaw and Faarooq congratulated the Great One for his win against Booker T at SummerSlam. The People’s Champ told the APA that they would lay the smack down on Booker T, Rhyno and Test later on SmackDown!

In another locker room, Edge was on the phone with his grandma, telling her that he would be defending the Intercontinental Championship later on in the night. Christian told Edge that he had a sure way that his brother would remain I.C. Champ after SmackDown! – he cancelled Edge’s match! Christian then said that he had set up a Federation Tag Team Championship match up for the duo, meaning they had the chance to become eight-time Tag Team Champions.

Edge told his brother that he wasn’t exactly happy that they had to face Undertaker and Kane for the titles.

In the Alliance’s locker room, Kanyon was talking to Chuck Palumbo, Justin Credible, Sean O’Haire and Chavo Guerrero that he was excited about his match against Kurt Angle later in the night.

Next up, Kurt Angle took on the WCW U.S. Champion, Kanyon. During the match, the Olympic hero hit a succession of suplexes on the self-proclaimed Alliance MVP. Kanyon tried to hit Angle with the U.S. title, but Angle ducked. The former Federation Champion then hit his Olympic Slam on Kanyon. Angle won the match by forcing the U.S. Champ to tap out to his ankle-lock submission!

The Rock, Bradshaw and Faarooq took on the Alliance’s team of Booker T, Rhyno and Test in six-man tag team action. At several points, all six Superstars were brawling inside the ring. Eventually, only Booker T and Faarooq were left inside the ring, which allowed Booker to hit a scissors kick on the former Florida State football star for the win. On his way backstage, The Book graciously gave the Denver fans a Spinaroonie at the top of the ramp.

X-Pac was hosting SmackDown! at WWF New York, and he told the fans that he was the first person in sports entertainment history to have titles from both the Federation and WCW at the same time. He said that because of that, he was obviously one of the greatest Superstars to ever grace sports entertainment.

SmackDown! results for Aug. 24, 2001

He told the New York fans that they were in the presence of greatness, and that the world had better start recognizing it.

Commissioner William Regal and Tajiri were talking in Regal’s office when Perry Saturn walked in looking for Moppy. Regal said that he had found Moppy, and he presented Saturn with a mop with a painted face. Saturn embraced the mop, but he then attacked the Commissioner for trying to pawn off a fake Moppy on him. Saturn then looked to the heavens and screamed for his long lost Moppy before storming out of the office.

Debra was yelling at Stone Cold because she couldn’t believe Jericho had the nerve to degrade her cooking skills. She said she would feel a lot better if her husband ate one of her cookies. Austin asked her if he really had to eat one right then, but she insisted. When Debra turned her back for a few seconds, Stone Cold dumped the cookies on the floor. When she turned around, he told his wife that he had accidently dropped them. She told him that Y2J’s actions were obviously disturbing him because he would never drop her cookies on purpose. Austin said she was right and that he would take care of Jericho later on in the night.

Edge and Christian attempted to become eight-time Federation Tag Team Champions as they faced the Undertaker and Kane. On commentary, Tazz exclaimed that he was happy to see Federation Superstars beat on other Federation Superstars.

The WCW and Federation Tag Team Champions dominated the match early until Edge was able to hit a spear on the Dead Man. Kane then pulled Edge outside the ring, leaving Christian alone with Taker. This allowed the Federation veteran to easily pick up Christian and nail his Last Ride Powerbomb for the win.

Tazz and Michael Cole then gave an update on Jeff Hardy’s condition, saying that the former Hardcore Champion suffered bruised ribs in SmackDown!’s opening match against RVD.

Next up, Lita took on the Alliance’s Ivory. Heavy chants of “Lita” sounded in the arena as the red-haired vixen climbed the ropes to attempt a moonsault. At that point, Hurricane Helms ran to ringside and distracted Lita. The Federation diva tried to attack Helms, but the former WCW Cruiserweight Champ pulled down the top rope, forcing Lita to take a header to the outside. Helms then threw Lita back into the ring, allowing Ivory to gain the win. After the match, Matt Hardy rushed to the ring to chase Helms and Ivory to the backstage area.

Backstage, Rob Van Dam was packing up his things when Raven entered the room. He said that their problems were not settled, and he said that he demanded a shot at RVD’s Hardcore Championship this Monday night on RAW. Van Dam told Raven that if he wanted a shot at the title, he should walk down the hall and ask Stone Cold himself.

The main event of SmackDown! pitted Federation Champion and Alliance leader, Stone Cold Steve Austin, take on Y2J Chris Jericho.

Austin made his way to the ring first, but before Jericho was able to come out, Commissioner Regal came out to the ramp. He told the Rattlesnake that his name may be Stone Cold Steve Austin, but he was the Federation Commissioner. Regal then said that Austin would indeed be putting his Federation Championship on the line against Jericho!

As the Lionheart battled the Rattlesnake, Kurt Angle was seen watching the match in the backstage area. Y2J was able to slap the Walls of Jericho on Austin early, but the Champion was able to get to the ropes to break the move. Jericho continued to work on the left arm of Stone Cold. Austin hit a spinebuster on Jericho, but it was obvious that his left shoulder was hampering him. The men battled outside the ring, and Stone Cold continued to ram the back of Y2J onto the steel ring post. Back inside the ring, Jericho was once again able to slap on the Walls of Jericho, but once again, Austin found the ropes. Finally, in ironic fashion, Stone Cold was able to retain the Federation Championship when he used the ropes to pin Jericho for the 1-2-3! Austin celebrated up the ramp, with the title in hand, as SmackDown! went off the air.

What did you think of RAW IS WAR? E-mail us and tell us what you thought of the show!

RAW IS WAR kicked off from Grand Rapids, Mich., with WCW owner Shane McMahon headed to the ring. The Boy Wonder explained how he bought the WCW with his "hard-earned money" not for his amusement or that he was bored, but to buy the most dominant brand in sports-entertainment and to put his father out of business. Shane also said that one of WCW's greatest assets is Booker T, a champ Shane said fans can get behind, unlike the current WCW Champion -- The Rock -- which Shane added stands for everything he despises about the business. Shane then proclaimed that tonight, there would be a new WCW Champion -- Rhyno -- and if Rhyno did not beat him to it, Shane would be happy to lay the smack down on The Rock!

With that, the Great One interrupted Shane to provide a response. The Rock refuted claims that he doesn't care about the history of the WCW and recited the names of past WCW Champions, including the Nature Boy, Ric Flair! The Rock said that he also knew what the WCW has come down too in recent times -- Diamond Dallas Page and Booker T -- and compared the WCW Title to Shane's sister, everyone gets their turn! Rock added that he knew about his match with Rhyno, but that didn't stop him from walking down the ramp, getting inside the people's ring and challenging Shane to a WCW Title Match! In response, Shane told Rock to just bring it!

But once Rock entered the ring, Shane ran out and stood tentatively on the ring steps. But Rhyno attacked Rock from behind! The Rock fought back until he was leveled by a Rhyno gore!

In Stone Cold Steve Austin's locker room, the Rattlesnake complained of a shoulder injury suffered at the hands of Chris Jericho on SmackDown! Then Rob Van Dam and Raven entered to ask Austin to approve a Hardcore Title Match between the two. Austin asked how the two they could be so selfish considering his injury and how the Alliance is supposed to be a team. Raven and Van Dam offered to be Austin's partner, but the Rattlesnake said he'd take on Jericho and Angle on his own! But when proposed that Raven and Van Dam take on Jericho and Angle, Austin seemed to like the idea!

The Undertaker against Albert was RAW's first match. A physical contest was interrupted when X-Pac nailed Taker with a right hook. Taker went to attack X-Pac, but was met by Albert and a belt bash by X-Pac which nearly cost Taker the match. When Albert went for the Baldo Bomb, Taker blocked it, and hit him with a boot and subsequent chokeslam to win the match!

Hurricane Helms spoke with Michael Cole about his obsession with the Green Lantern. Helms corrected Cole by saying that Green Lantern is second behind Stone Cold Steve Austin, and proceeded to tell Cole stories on how the Lantern overcame evil, and that the Hurricane would overcome Matt Hardy and win the European Championship!

RAW RESULTS -- August 27, 2001

In his attempt to be the Federation's newest superhero, Hurricane Helms -- complete with mask and cape -- challenged Matt Hardy for the European Title. Hurricane offered a pre-match handshake, but Hardy went right on the offensive. Hardy controlled the match -- nearly pinning Helms with a legdrop from the second rope -- until Helms reversed a Hardy back suplex from the top rope. Suddenly, Ivory attacked Lita's injured knee with a tire iron, and then hit Hardy in the ribs with it. The attack allowed Helms to finish Hardy and become the new Federation European Champion!

In the back, Michael Cole attempted to track down Kurt Angle for an interview, but instead, an enraged Angle attacked Raven, put him in the Ankle Lock, and told him to give Austin a message -- if he wants to kick his ass so badly, he can be selfish and spoil himself rotten, because RVD will need a new tag team partner later that night!

While a doctor attended to Lita's injured knee, Raven hobbled in seeking medical attention. Austin walked in, and Raven told him what happened. The doctor told Austin that Raven couldn't wrestle, so Shawn Stasiak asked Austin if he could team with Van Dam. Austin reminded Stasiak about his previous missed opportunities, but told him to go do it. Stone Cold then berated Raven on how he couldn't compete with a "Mickey Mouse" injury and that Austin -- injured shoulder and all -- had to go out and take his place.

For good measure, Austin checked to see if Raven's ankle was really broken by punching it!

Elsewhere, Edge was enjoying a soda when Hugh Morrus confronted him. Edge insulted him, and Christian came to his defense by telling Morrus he'd be crazy if he could beat Edge in a title match. Morrus then accepted an Intercontinental Title Match with Edge that night. A bewildered Edge asked Christian what he was doing. Christian said that why "we were the champs."

Up next was a battle of big men as Bradshaw sought revenge out of Test. After a sidewalk slam, Test went for his flying elbow, but missed. The big Texan then hit a powerslam to nearly pin Test. Later, Bradshaw was thrown out of the ring and attacked by Shane McMahon. Faarooq tried to rescue his partner, but was met with a Test clothesline. When Bradshaw chased Shane in the ring, Test nailed him with a big boot to win the match.

Steve Austin complained on how Kurt Angle could attack Raven when Rob Van Dam complemented him on an apparent plan for Austin to team with RVD. Debra loved the idea, but Austin hated it. The Rattlesnake told RVD he'd think about it, asked him to leave and argued with Debra some more.

Elsewhere, Angle poured himself a glass of milk with Shawn Stasiak looking on. Stacy Keibler asked him what he was up to, and told her he had a plan to humiliate the Olympic hero.

Rhyno's shot at the WCW Championship was next as he took on The Rock, whom he leveled with his gore earlier on. Rock attacked Rhyno on the outside, but Rhyno threw him into the ringside barrier and gored him! The man-beast then went to work on Rock's injured ribs but couldn't keep the Great One down as Rock tossed Rhyno over the top rope.

Rhyno fought back with a bear hug, but despite injured ribs, The Rock refused to submit and narrowly avoided passing out from the pain. Rock soon recovered enough to hit a Samoan back drop, but was felled once again with a shoulder to the ribs. Eventually, the People's Champion regained his bearings and dropped Rhyno with a DDT. After a Rock spinebuster, Shane McMahon interfered to distract Rock and leave him open for a Rhyno low blow, but the APA chased Shane away. Rhyno had Rock set up for the gore in the ring, but Rock moved out of the way and hit the Rock Bottom to pin Rhyno and retain the WCW Championship!

Elsewhere, Stacy Keibler asked Shawn Stasiak if his plan to humiliate Kurt Angle would really work. Stasiak told Stacy his plan was beautiful, just like her! He had a bucket of sour milk hidden above an open door, which was supposed to drop on Angle when he entered the room. Stasiak would then beat up Angle so that Austin would be proud of him and pick him to be his partner. Shawn and Stacy then hid, expecting Angle to walk in. But instead, it was Debra -- Austin's wife!

Shawn and Stacy then ran for their lives and eventually left the building!

Debra complained to Austin how someone could do that to her, and that Austin being her husband should stand up for her. Austin asked why he should because he's the champion. All Debra could do is scream in horror!

Edge's Intercontinental Title defense against Hugh Morrus was up next, and Edge's brother, Christian, joined Jim Ross and Paul Heyman ringside. Christian explained that the reason he carries Edge's King of the Ring trophy around is because he's proud and supportive of his brother, amid reports that he's jealous of his brother. Christian soon interfered and clotheslined Morrus off the top rope. Edge hit Morrus with a DDT, but referee Teddy Long saw Christian's interference and disqualified Edge. Christian then made it a point to announce that his brother was still Intercontinental Champion. A disgusted Edge took his belt back as Christian tried to calm him down.

Booker T told Michael Cole that The Rock stole something from him at SummerSlam. Cole then aired footage of Booker Wee from last week, and an interview conducted with the Big Show about his match with Booker later on RAW. The Show would up mocking the Book in the interview as Jonathan Coachman tried hard to hold in a laugh. The Book was so incensed, he said that Show's actions didn't deserve comment, except that "when suckas do that somebody gots to get hurt!"

In the weight room, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley confronted Chris Jericho with some important news -- that no matter what happens in his tag team main event later that night, Y2J is O-U-T and that the initials RVD is in. Jericho said that RVD and Steph make a heck of a couple -- R-V-D and H-O-E.

Booker T then had his chance at the Big Show, who continued to have fun at Booker's expense, even doing the Spin-a-roonie until Booker attacked. Show blocked a Booker sidekick attempt and went to work. Shown went for a powerbowb, but Booker escaped and hit a sidekick on the Show. After a Spin-a-roonie, Booker was caught by the throat, but escaped with a low blow. However, Show grabbed Booker by the throat again and threw him to the outside, where he hit his knee on the steel steps. Once Booker leveled Show with a steel chair, the referee called for the bell, but Booker continued the assault and knocked Show out with the chair.

At WWF New York were Al Snow and the WWF Tough Enough finalists. On September 20 live from WWF New York, one male and one female from the group will be offered guaranteed Federation contracts on the season finale of "WWF Tough Enough," live on MTV.

Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle hit the ring awaiting Rob Van Dam and his partner -- Stone Cold Steve Austin, injured shoulder and all! Or was he? Austin would up introducing RVD's real partner -- Tazz! The match began with Angle and RVD fighting on the inside, and Tazz and Y2J brawling on the outside. The Federation Superstars gained early control with Jericho and Angle going to work on Tazz. Jericho nearly had Van Dam pinned until Tazz broke up the count.

Jericho executed a thunderous superplex from off the top rope and again nearly had Van Dam beat when Tazz stopped the count. Van Dam then leveled Jericho with a guillotine leg drop, and the Alliance members took control of the match until Jericho nailed Tazz with a DDT. However, RVD prevented Jericho from making the tag to Angle, keeping momentum on the side of the Alliance.

When Van Dam when from springboard moonsault, Jericho put his knees up to protect himself and tagged in Angle. Angle took Tazz down with a belly-to-belly suplex, but Tazz knocked Angle down to set him up for RVD's Five Star Frog Splash. Tazz covered Angle, but Angle narrowly escaped. On the outside, Jericho locked RVD in the Walls of Jericho, but was hit from behind by Austin. In the ring, Angle locked Tazz in the Ankle Lock but Austin broke that up too. Tazz then locked Angle in the Tazzmission, but Angle turned it into the Olympic Slam to win the match!

Afterward, Austin attacked Angle with the Federation Championship belt, and put Angle's medals around his neck. The Rattlesnake then leveled Angle again with the Federation Title, and walked away with Angle's medals. Angle and Austin exchanged looks of hatred as RAW went off the air!

SmackDown! Spoiler for August 30, 2001

SmackDown! kicked off from the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit with the Dudley Boyz and Test teaming up to take on the APA and Big Show. During the match, a fresh Big Show was tagged in and the monster began to clean house! The 7’ 2” behemoth was about to seal the deal with a chokeslam on Bubba Ray, but D-Von made the save with a low blow. Then, with the big man stunned, Test helped the Dudley Boyz execute a 3-D on the former World Wrestling Federation Champion. Before any of the men could cover Big Show, the APA entered the ring and laid out all three men, with Bradshaw picking up the win after a Clothesline from Hell on D-Von!

Kurt Angle’s music then blared through the Joe Louis Arena as the crowd rose to its feet. The Olympic hero then grabbed a microphone and said that he tried to be a nice guy to Stone Cold Steve Austin. At SummerSlam, he said he was nice enough to kick out of three Stunners so the crowd could enjoy a classic match, only to see Austin get disqualified because the Rattlesnake realized he couldn’t beat him. Then, he said, the following night during Austin Appreciation Night, he said he was nice enough to drive all the way in and supply the Alliance with some good, wholesome milk. Then, this past Monday, he said he was nice enough to invite Stone Cold to take on himself and Chris Jericho, but instead, Stone Cold not only refused to accept the match, but afterwards he attacked his Olympic hero and stole his medals.

Angle said that since Austin was nice enough to take something from him, he felt compelled to take something from the Rattlesnake – the World Wrestling Federation Championship. Angle challenged Stone Cold to a Federation Championship match at Unforgiven live on Pay-Per-View on Sept. 23 from Kurt’s hometown of Pittsburgh! Angle finished up by calling Austin to the ring so he could take back his medals from Stone Cold’s thick red neck, but before the Rattlesnake could respond, Booker T and WCW owner Shane McMahon made their way out.

Booker T told Angle that he “gots to be kidding.” He said that everyone knew that he was the one that was robbed at SummerSlam when The Rock stole the WCW Championship from him. The former five-time WCW Champ told the Olympic hero that his medals meant nothing compared to the WCW Championship. Angle then asked Booker T if the Spinaroonie had suddenly become an Olympic sport. He told “The Book” to go back to his dressing room, practice his dancing, send out another audition tape for “Soul Train” and get the hell out of the ring! Booker said he came out because he felt he and Angle were both in the same boat, seeing as they had both been robbed, but he realized that Angle and him had nothing in common. He said that, on SmackDown!, he was going to add to the horrible crime rate in Detroit by punking out Angle later in the night.

Shane got on the microphone and told Angle that he should respect the five-time WCW Champion.

He then said he could sense something big – the Spinaroonie! Booker T executed his move in the middle of the ring as Shane taunted Angle by asking him, “What are you going to do about that?” Angle responded by knocking both men out of the ring, sending them back to the Alliance’s locker room.

At that point, Stone Cold popped up on the TitanTron with Angle’s medals in his hand. He told the Olympic hero that if he wanted his medals back, he should come to the backstage area and get them! Angle then jumped out of the ring and made his way to the back.

After commercial, Angle was searching for the Rattlesnake backstage when he ran into Scotty 2 Hotty. The master of the Worm told the Olympic hero that after Austin saw Angle making his way to the back, he jumped in his truck and drove away.

Next up, the Undertaker took on Albert, who was accompanied by X-Pac, in a rematch from RAW IS WAR. Before the match, Michael Cole and Tazz announced that Kane has been sidelined with an infection in his elbow, so it could be some time before the Big Red Machine was back in action. During the match, X-Pac jumped onto the apron and threw a steel chair into the ring, but Taker grabbed the high-flyer and brought him into the ring the hard way. With the Dead Man preoccupied with X-Pac, Albert picked up the chair and nailed Taker in the back. The former Intercontinental Champion went for the cover on the Dead Man, but he kicked out.

SmackDown! Spoiler for August 30, 2001

Undertaker then picked up the chair and blasted Albert in the head, getting disqualified in the process. Afterwards, X-Pac entered the ring and waffled Taker in the back with the chair, but the Dead Man quickly recovered and caught the Light Heavyweight/Cruiserweight Champion. Taker then planted X-Pac in the middle of the ring with the Last Ride.

Backstage, Stacy Keibler and Shawn Stasiak were carrying a covered food tray. Shawn asked Stacy if he really thought their plan was going to work, and Stacy said that he should leave the talking to her.

Debra was in Stone Cold’s locker room when Stacy and Shawn entered. They said they wanted to apologize for dousing her with rancid milk on RAW. Debra was furious, saying she had to wash her hair five times to get the smell out. Stacy said that she had baked Debra some cookies as a peace offering. Debra tried one and said that they were really good. Then, she smashed the tray of cookies in Stacy’s face and beat her over the back with the metal tray! The duo fled the locker room as Mrs. Stone Cold continued to verbally berate them.

In another locker room, Christian was on the phone asking the operator why his Grandma Edna wouldn’t accept his collect call, when Edge entered the room. Edge told Christian they needed to have a talk, and Christian agreed, saying that it was awesome that Edge was going to face Kanyon for the U.S. Championship on SmackDown!

SmackDown! Spoiler for August 30, 2001

Edge said that he wanted to go to the ring alone because he wanted to win the U.S. Title by himself. Christian said that he understood.

In the parking lot area, Stone Cold was sitting on the roof of a car looking into a camera wondering where Kurt Angle was. He said that Angle was obviously scared of the Rattlesnake. He said he was beginning to get a little bored with the Olympic hero. He then began pondering how Kurt’s medals would make a great hood ornament.

After commercial, Angle was seen looking around the parking lot when a car drove up. He ran up to the car, but it wasn’t Austin – it was the Alliance’s Tommy Dreamer. He beat on Dreamer until Stone Cold nearly ran him over with another car! A laughing Austin stopped the car and dangled the medals out the window, asking Angle if he wanted to take a ride with his “little medals.” Stone Cold then took off, crashing through a gate and out of the parking lot.

Next up, The Rock and Chris Jericho teamed up to battle Rhyno and Rob Van Dam. During the match, Y2J tagged in a fired-up People’s Champ, and the Great One pummeled both Rhyno and RVD. The Rock hit a DDT on Rhyno, but the Man-Beast kicked out. The Rock then locked in a Sharpshooter on Rhyno when Booker T ran down to the ring! Seeing this, the Great One let go of Rhyno and laid out “The Book”. The Rock turned around and hit a spinebuster on a charging Rhyno.

SmackDown! Spoiler for August 30, 2001

The People’s Champ then went for the People’s Elbow when Shane McMahon blindsided the Great One with a flying tackle! With WCW referee Nick Patrick conveniently checking on Booker T on the outside, Shane taunted The Rock by strutting around in the ring! Jericho entered the ring, hit a bulldog on the Boy Wonder and went for the Walls of Jericho, but Rob Van Dam quickly ended the Shane’s pain after nailing Jericho with a flying kick from the top rope. As RVD celebrated, The Rock hit a Rock Bottom on the Hardcore Champ. Booker T jumped on the apron to distract The Rock, but the Great One clotheslined “The Book” off the top rope. When the People’s Champ turned around, Rhyno was there to welcome him with a Gore, covering The Rock for the win!

Commissioner William Regal and Tajiri were in their office discussing how the Alliance was gaining the upper-hand on SmackDown! when Torrie Wilson walked in. Torrie said that a woman like her had needs, and that she needed to be motivated and stimulated. She then asked Regal if she could have a job with Regal’s administration. The Commish responded by telling the blonde beauty that he could never have an Alliance member on his staff. Torrie asked if there was anything she could do to change his mind, saying that she wanted a position not only for professional reasons, but for personal reasons as well.

She said that a man with an accent drives her wild, and as Regal smiled, Torrie skipped over him and went after Tajiri, saying that the Japanese Buzzsaw was the man of her dreams! As Torrie caressed Tajiri, Regal was confronted by Lance Storm, who told the Commish that he was humiliated by a midget last week, and he wanted some respect. Tajiri then did his impression of Storm, asking Lance if “he could be serious for a moment.” Storm told the Japanese Buzzsaw that if he wanted to tell jokes, he could try telling them to him in the ring later in the night.

The next match saw WCW U.S. Champion Kanyon putting his title on the line against Edge. Before the match began, Christian came to ringside with the 2001 King of the Ring trophy. At one point, Kanyon rolled out of the ring, picked up his U.S. Championship and re-entered the ring. He wound up to hit the Intercontinental Champion with the belt, but Christian jumped on the apron and grabbed the U.S. Championship out of Kanyon’s hands. Christian then attempted to hit Kanyon with the title, but the U.S. Champ ducked and Christian waffled Edge! Kanyon covered the fallen Edge for the 1-2-3 to retain the U.S. Championship. After the match, Christian apologized to Edge for hitting him, saying that he would make it up to his brother by taking on The Rock this Monday night on RAW in his hometown of Toronto and becoming the WCW Champion! Christian said that Team E&C would then be Team NBG –Nothing But Gold!

A baffled Edge then looked on as Christian made his way backstage.

In the Alliance’s locker room, Lilian Garcia interviewed Hurricane Helms. Garcia told Helms that it wasn’t exactly heroic how Ivory helped him win the European Championship from Matt Hardy on RAW. Helms said that when he defeated the meddlesome Matt Hardy and his sidekick, the lovely Lita, he struck a courageous blow for truth, justice and the European way. Garcia told Hurricane that on SmackDown!, he would be teaming up with Ivory to take on Molly Holly and the Federation’s underdog, Spike Dudley. Helms said that Spike was no underdog, saying that Underdog wasn’t even real. Helms said that he and Ivory would be victorious, so Garcia should tune in at the same Hurri-time and the same Hurri-station.

Spike and Molly then took on Ivory and Helms in tag-team competition. In true superhero fashion, Hurricane started the match with a friendly handshake with Spike. During the match, Molly went for her patented Molly-Go-Round, but Ivory ducked out the way. Ivory then grabbed Molly, holding her for Hurricane for a superkick, but Molly moved and Helms nailed Ivory in the face! Spike grabbed Hurricane and went for the Dudley Dog, but Ivory took out the leg of Spike. Helms then hit his Eye of the Hurricane finishing maneuver to pick up the win for the Alliance.

On a Detroit city street, Stone Cold was talking into the camera, asking where Kurt Angle was.

He said he wanted to talk to Kurt, but he Angle was nowhere to be found. Austin said they obviously had a failure to communicate, and the Rattlesnake said that since Angle didn’t want to talk to him, he was feeling a little upset. Austin then lifted the cover off a manhole and said that every time a person in Detroit flushed their toilet, it passed under the street in the sewer. He said if Kurt didn’t want to talk to him, he would be forced to drop the medals down the manhole. He continued to dangle the medals over the smelly sewer until he said he had a better idea for Angle’s medals.

The Rock was seen pacing in the backstage area, prompting Tazz to wonder why the Great One was still in the building.

Back in the Commissioner’s office, Torrie was complimenting Tajiri on his big muscles when Regal told her to run along. Torrie kissed the Japanese Buzzsaw and left the office. At that point, Perry Saturn confronted Regal, and the Commish told Saturn that he hated to be the bearer of bad news, but an unmarked envelope had arrived at the Commissioner’s office earlier in the day. Regal showed Perry the contents of the envelope, which included a Polaroid shot of Moppy and a kidnapper’s ransom note that read “$100,000 or you’ll never seen Moppy again” in pieced-together letters. Furious, and wondering where he was going to get the money, a screaming Saturn left the office.

Kurt Angle was in his locker room when the Alliance’s Mike Awesome approached him.

Awesome said that he wanted to let Angle know that the Alliance just had a group meeting, and they all thought that it was wrong what Austin was doing with Angle’s medals. He said he had a token of admiration for Angle, and he gave Angle a small Federation Championship replica toy belt. Awesome said that that was the only gold that the “little man” was going to see as long as Stone Cold had the Federation Championship. Angle snapped, attacking Awesome and locking the former Hardcore Champion into the ankle-lock!

Next up, Tajiri took on Lance Storm in one-on-one action. Tajiri locked in the Tarantula on Storm, but Lance was able to escape. During the match, Torrie ran to ringside to assist Tajiri back into the ring, but Storm was waiting to hit the Japanese Buzzsaw in the face with a superkick for the win! After the match, Torrie consoled Tajiri in the ring.

The main event of SmackDown! saw the former five-time WCW Champion Booker T, accompanied by Shane McMahon, take on the medal-less Olympic hero, Kurt Angle. During the match, Shane pulled down the top rope, forcing Angle to plummet to the mat outside the ring. With the ref distracted, Shane attacked Angle, throwing him into the ring post. Booker T continued the attack, throwing the American hero throat-first on the barricade. Back inside the ring, Booker T hit a scissors-kick on Angle, and followed it up with a Spinaroonie! “The Book” went for the cover, but Angle managed to kick out.

An exhausted Angle then hit his Angle Slam on Booker. The Olympic hero went for the ankle-lock, but Shane entered the ring and hit an Angle Slam on Kurt! At that point, The Rock ran down to the ring and took out WCW referee Charles Robinson. The Great One then pummeled Shane and started beating on him in the corner. Booker T attacked the People’s Champ from behind, but Angle snuck up behind “The Book”, executed a German Suplex on him and pinned Booker for the win as Federation official Earl Hebner made the count. After the match, Booker T beat on The Rock as Shane attacked Angle. The Olympic hero fought back, however, and hit a belly-to-belly suplex on the WCW owner! The Rock also gained the advantage on “The Book”, knocking him out of the ring after a rapid-fire assault of right hands! With Shane laid out outside the ring, and Booker T limping to the back, The Rock and Kurt Angle celebrated by guzzling cartons of milk inside the ring!

While they were celebrating, Stone Cold again popped up on the TitanTron with Angle's medals. He said that Angle said Stone Cold would never have gold medals, but he has two now. He wondered what Angle would do to get his medals back. He said all the Olympic hero had to do was ask for them. He then corrected himself, saying that asking for them would be too easy. The Rattlesnake said Angle should beg for them. He told Angle to get on his knees and beg Stone Cold for his medals.

He then asked Kurt if he was too proud to beg for the Federation Championship. Austin said he had never seen a bigger crybaby in the Federation than Angle, so he said if the American hero would cry for him, the Rattlesnake would give him his medals back. Austin said if Angle wouldn't cry or beg for the medals or the championship, then that just proves that Angle is a spineless coward. Stone Cold said that since Angle didn't want the medals, he had another idea. He then tied the medals to a cinderblock and through them off a Detroit bridge into a river as SmackDown! went off the air!

As RAW IS WAR kicked off live from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, the Undertaker rolled down to the ring! The Dead Man was answering a challenge laid down earlier in the day by Alliance member Test. The two behemoths started pounding on each other from the get-go, and eventually, Test was able to take the Taker down to the mat. Undertaker was able to gain his footing, however, and took Test into the corner. Test fended Taker off again, and took him to the mat once again. As Test went to finish off the Dead Man, Taker reversed the move into a submission hold. Test was able to break free after grabbing the ropes, but Taker continued to build his offensive momentum. Taker then went to hit his Last Ride when Steven Richards superkicked Taker from behind! Steven exited the ring as Test nailed Taker with a big boot to the face!

In footage shot earlier in the day, Christian told an arena guard that he would beat The Rock later, when two people came up to him saying it was so cool to see Edge's brother. After the couple told Christian they were going to be in the front row, he told the guard to get them out of the front row so his real fans could see him win later.

In the back, Steven Richards made a hasty exit as Michael Cole asked him what was going on.

In William Regal's office, the commissioner warned Tajiri to watch out for Torrie Wilson. Regal also told Tajiri that if he found a partner, he could face the Dudley Boyz in a No. 1 contender match for the Federation Tag Team Championships! Then the Big Show walked in and volunteered his services!

As Stone Cold and Debra arrived in the arena, the rest of the Alliance waited and surprised the Rattlesnake! Stephanie told Austin that he was inspiring, and that it was great to see what Austin did to Kurt Angle's gold medals. Austin said that he threw Angle's medals in the river for the whole Alliance. Austin asked if anyone had seen Angle lately, and Stephanie said no. She also added that the Alliance had a huge surprise planned for Stone Cold later in the night!

In a match that would determine the No. 1 contenders for the World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Championship, the Big Show teamed with Tajiri to face the Dudley Boyz. The Japanese Buzzsaw took it to both Dudleys at the beginning of the match, but after a double team, Tajiri found himself the victim of a Dudley beating. As that went on, Torrie Wilson came to ringside with a very concerned look on her face. When Tajiri was able to make the tag, Big Show entered the ring and nearly decimated the Dudleys.

In the locker room, Christian polished the King of the Ring trophy when Shane McMahon and Booker T entered. Shane told Christian that he had a proposition - Shane and Booker would go to ringside with Christian to make sure everything was fair, and after Christian won, he would offer Booker T the first title shot on SmackDown! Christian eagerly agreed.

In Stone Cold's dressing room, Stephanie entered the room and Austin nearly jumped out of his skin! Austin told Steph that she needed to knock, because she scared Debra half to death. Stpehanie aplogized, and told Austin that his surprise was getting nearer. Austin told Stephanie that Debra was asking if Angle was anywhere nearby, and Stephanie told everyone not to worry, because Angle wouldn't show his face. Spike go t back up though, and pinned Stasiak after nailing him with a Dudley Dog! After the match, Stacy started pushing Spike around! So Molly got in the ring and started pounding on Stacy!

As Christian prepared for his match against The Rock, Edge entered the room and told Christian that it would be totally cool if Christian won the WCW Title. Christian agreed and said that he didn't want Edge to come to ringside, because he wanted to win the title on his own. Christian then told Edge that he realized how wrong he was to keep holding the King of the Ring trophy, and gave it to his brother. Christian added that after he won the WCW Title, which is more prestigious than the Intercontinental Title, he and Edge would still be brothers, no matter what!

In the back, Perry Saturn told Hurricane Helms that he needed help finding Moppy's kidnapper. The Hurricane examined the ransom note and deduced that Matt Hardy had something to do with Moppy's disappearance. Helms said that his "Hurri-sense" was telling him that Matt Hardy was not what he seemed.

Booker T then made his way to the ring and grabbed a microphone to be the guest ring announcer for the WCW Championship match. The Book the introduced the special guest timekeeper - WCW Owner Shane McMahon.

Booker then introduced the challenger, Toronto's own Christian. Finally, Booker introduced the WCW Champion, The Rock! Before the match began, Booker T and Shane both hit Rock with some cheap shots. Christian got Rock back in the ring, and the match was underway. As the match went on, The Rock was continually a victim of outside interference by Booker and Shane. The Rock kept coming back, doing his best to overcome the beating he was taking from three men. Booker T slid the WCW Title belt into the ring, and when Christian went to hit Rock with it, the champion ducked it and started pounding on Christian. The Rock locked Christian in a sharp shooter when Shane interfered once again. Christian made a cover, but The Rock was shockingly able to kick out at two. The Rock got up and hit Christian with a Rock Bottom and made the pin to retain the WCW Championship!

When the match ended, The Rock called Booker T into the ring, and when Rock started pounding on him, Shane came in and hit him from behind! Then, the APA entered the ring and ran off both Booker and Shane!

Outside Stone Cold's locker room, Stephanie and Debra got ready to go pick up Austin's surprise. When they found out it was ready, Debra stuck her head in the door and told Austin not to come out until they told him to.

Stephanie then made her way out to the ring.

Steph said that no worked harder than Americans, and the hardest working one is Stone Cold Steve Austin! Then, the most paranoid SOB in sports-entertainment walked out to the ring. Stephanie then showed Stone Cold his surprise - a brand new pickup truck! In the parking area, Debra showed off the features of Austin's new truck and then asked Stone Cold to come back to take her in a ride in it! Austin and Stephanie hurried their way to the back. WHen they got there, Austin said that he loved his new truck! As he admired it, Kurt Angle jumped out of a production truck and hit Austin from behind! He threw a cinder block with a chain attatched to it in the truck and took off with Austin knocked out in the back!

Christian just sat by and stared at the ceiling.

In the Alliance dressing room, Stephanie called the "Canadian Police" and described Austin's truck when suddenly, footage appeared on the television of Kurt Angle and Stone Cold. Angle parked the car and started speaking to Austin, who was blindfolded and chained up. Angle took off the blindfold and showed Austin where they were - a river in Toronto. As Austin said he was sorry, Angle kept asking him "What?" Angle threatened to throw Austin over the bridge, and Stone Cold kept saying he was sorry, and Angle said he didn't want to do it. Austin said thank you, and Angle continued saying he didn't want to do it - but only because the bridge wasn't nearly high enough! Back at the arena, Stephanie demanded that the members of the Alliance get moving so someone could help Stone Cold!

Edge put his Intercontinental Championship on the line against fellow Canadian Lance Storm. Edge retained his championship after a physical bout. After the match, Storm went to assault Edge with a steel chair when Christian ran down to the ring with a chair of his own, running off Storm. The main event on RAW pitted Hardcore Champion Rob Van Dam and Rhyno against the returning Jeff Hardy and Chris Jericho. Early in the match, Jericho tagged in Jeff Hardy, who was immediately pounded on by RVD. But, even with his sore ribs, Jeff made it to the top rope and hit RVD with a Swanton Bomb! Even though he had took down Van Dam, Hardy hurt himself in the process. Finally, Jeff was able to tag in Jericho, who took out Rhyno but then was attacked by RVD! Jericho reversed on of Van Dam's holds, however, and pinned Van Dam for the win!

At a different, higher, bridge in Toronto, Kurt Angle led Stone Cold to the edge. Stone Cold said that he was sorry for throwing his medals in the Detroit River, and that he would go back and get them. Angle said it was too late for that. Kurt said he wanted Austin to beg, and then he put the blindfold back on Austin! Angle said if he didn't beg and cry, Angle would throw Austin over the edge faster than Austin threw his medals over the edge last week!

Back in the ring, Debra pleaded with Kurt Angle not to hurt her husband. She cried and sobbed and said that Austin may be a bad guy, but he was the love of her life. She begged Kurt not to hurt her husband.

At the bridge, Angle demanded for Austin to beg. Austin said he was sorry, and Angle kept asking him "What?" Austin said he was so sorry. Angle called him pathetic for begging him, and then told him to cry. Austin said he couldn't cry.

Moments later, Jeff stunned the Alliance members with the Poetry in Motion all the way to the outside of the ring! All four men soon spilled into the ring, and Justin went for the Twist of Fate on Matt Hardy! But Matt powered out, hit a Twist of Fate of his own, and Jeff then hit a Swanton Bomb for the win! Stone Cold Steve Austin and Debra arrived at the arena, and he didn't know if he'd be able to face the members of the Alliance after being humiliated on RAW. He entered the Alliance locker room, where no one looked him in the eye. Austin demanded that they all pick their heads up and look at him, but they didn't. He asked them if what happened on RAW bothered them. Stone Cold said it shouldn't bother any of them, because he begged and cried for them. He said if he was on his own, he would have told Angle to throw him off the bridge -- but he had taken the Alliance members under his wing, and he begged and pleaded just for them. Suddenly, Chavo Guerrero came in, and Austin yelled at him for being late -- and kicked his ass as the other members of the Alliance watched on! The Rattlesnake and Debra then left the locker room.

Just 24 hours after viciously attacking his brother Edge in their hometown, Christian headed to the ring, with many questions to be answered. As the Toronto crowd booed their hometown boy, Christian said that RAW was one of the greatest nights of his life. He said he hadn't felt that good since he moved to Florida and officially became a U.S. citizen.

Christian said it seemed like he's been living in denial lately. He said it him on RAW that all the talk is true -- that Edge was bitter, jealous and resentful of him his whole life! He said it had always been Edge & Christian, E&C, Edge and his brother. He asked why Edge always got to go first. He asked what Edge had ever done, and he said what about him?
Christian proclaimed that he was special. He said he had always been there for Edge, but where was Edge when Christian had the chance to become WCW Champion on RAW? He claimed that it would have eaten Edge up alive to see him walking around with singles gold. He said that Edge made him do what he did, but it would all come back. He said Edge and the people of Toronto deserved each other, because they were all selfish.

Christian said that he didn't need Edge for anything -- not even a con-chair-to, as he proved on RAW. He said Edge had nothing he needed, but Edge did have something he wants -- the Intercontinental Championship. He then challenged his brother to an IC Title match for Unforgiven, saying he would take the title the same way Edge always took the spotlight from him! He said, just like their song, "I think I know you," but as RAW proved, Edge so didn't know Christian!

Backstage, Stone Cold and Debra were talking when Shawn Stasiak walked in. Stasiak offered Austin a cup of coffee. The Rattlesnake took it and drank it, but it was too hot, so he threw it in Shawn's face, and then beat up Stasiak! He told Debra to get a paramedic because he thought he burned his mouth!

In a match stemming from Monday's RAW, Steven Richards took on the Undertaker. Prior to the match, Steven said that many wondered why he Stevenkicked the Taker on RAW, and why he challenged him to a match on SmackDown! He said many people thought he was crazy for doing so, but he had one thing to say to the Undertaker -- he hates you! He said he blamed Taker ffor the disbanding of the Right to Censor. He said that although the people had no faith in Steven Richards, he had faith in himself. He challenged Taker to come out and get some, which Taker did. The American Badass went right for Steven, who made Taker chase him. Steven then grabbed a chair, and challenged Taker to come after him.

The Badass stalked Steven up the ramp, and punched him in the face. He then turned around, and Brian Adams of Kronic kicked Taker's motorcycle over! As Taker went after Adams, Bryan Clarke -- also of Kronik -- attacked Taker from behind, and the duo double-teamed the Badass! With Steven directing traffic, the duo tossed Taker in the ring and gave him the High Times double-chokeslam

William Regal was watching the monitor in his office when Booker T and Shane McMahon entered. The Boy Wonder said that even though Rock was under contract to the World Wrestling Federation, the WCW Title was under his jurisdiction. Shane said that at Unforgiven, The Rock will defend the WCW Championship against Booker T and Shane McMahon in a Handicap Match.

Debra checked on Stone Cold's burned tongue backstage, and then told Austin that she thought he should go to the ring and talk to the public. Austin said he had already explained himself to the members of the Alliance, and didn't want to talk to the people. Debra reasoned that the people in the arena were foreign, and Austin said he'd think about it.

Next up, Test battled Billy Gunn. Test hit three consecutive Russian leg sweeps, and went for the pumphandle slam, but Billy reversed it into a neckbreaker. Moments later, Billy went for the One and Only, but Test reversed. Billy then went for the fame-asser, but Test instead nailed the big boot, and pinned "The One" for the win!

Backstage, Debra told Stone Cold that he should go to the ring and explain, and Austin said she was right.

The sold-out crowd at the Air Canada Centre rose to its feet moments later, as Stone Cold's music played. But when he got to the stage, he suddenly grew reluctant and headed backstage. But moments later, he came back out and headed to the ring, not before jawing with a number of fans.

The World Wrestling Federation Champion said that the only reason he was out there is because the people on hand were just a bunch of foreigners who didn't matter to him. Austin said he couldn't believe how bloodthirsty the people of Canada were on Monday night, as Kurt Angle was about to throw him off the bridge. He accused the people of not respecting him or his wife. He said he didn't respect the Canadian race.

Austin asked the people if they wanted to see him thrown off the bridge, and they said hell yeah! He then repeated the phrase "what?" repeatedly, before telling Kurt Angle that he refused to be treated like an animal. He said as far as Angle was concerned, Unforgiven was a good name for the Pay-Per-View, because he would never forgive Angle for what he did. He went on record as saying that at Unforgiven, he would not be chained down, blindfolded, tied down or beaten for the Federation Championship.

Suddenly, out came Kurt Angle to the stage! Your Olympic hero said he didn't care if Austin forgave him, because he would never forgive Austin for throwing his gold medals off a bridge. He said that while Austin didn't forgive, he didn't want Austin to ever forget -- and he then played the footage from RAW, of Austin begging!

Stone Cold said he wasn't really begging, and that he didn't really mean it, so Kurt showed footage of Austin crying! Austin said he wasn't crying, and Angle asked him if he was the Rattlesnake or the "Waaah"-ttlesnake! Kurt then asked one more question -- what Austin was doing when he fell into the wading pool!

Angle said he had so much fun with Stone Cold on RAW, seeing sides of Austin he had never seen before. He said that at Unforgiven, Austin would see a side of Angle which would make him wish he never messed with him. He promised to show Austin how stone cold he could be at Unforgiven.

The Alliance was talking in their locker room when Stone Cold entered. He said he'd been embarrassed and humiliated for the last time by Kurt Angle. He said that seeing the footage again had made him sick. Austin said he didn't want to wait for Unforgiven -- he wanted to whip some ass on SmackDown! He challenged each of the members of the Alliance, and then said he would pick for himself. He said he would fight the next person who walked through the door.

Elsewhere, Lilian Garcia interviewed The Rock. She asked about his match against Booker T and Shane McMahon at Unforgiven. Rock mocked Lilian, saying she needed to let her feelings go. He said he knew she had feelings for him! He said she dreamed of becoming Mrs. Lilian Rock-sia! He said for Lilian to admit that she gets wet ... with perspiration ... standing so close to him! He said he knew how Lilian felt about pie, but asked how she felt about strudel. He asked if she wanted to try some of his strudel, and she said she would, more than anything in the world! He then asked what the hell was wrong with her -- he had just been informed that he had a Handicap Match at Unforgiven, and all she could think about was desert! He asked her for a little professionalism. Rocky then turned his attention to Booker and Shane, and said he's seen the way Booker and Shane look at each other. He said the two should have a baby together, and the first words out of mouth would be, "Can you dig it, sucka," and the baby would then do a little jukin' and jivin'! He said that Unforgiven would be electrifying -- if ya smell what The Rock is cookin'! He also told Lilian to stop thinking about the People's Strudel!

In the Alliance locker room, Austin and the Alliance awaited the next person to walk through the door -- and it was Rob Van Dam! As the crowd chanted for RVD, Austin said that the Alliance members had something to tell him -- namely, that the two would go one-on-one later in the night!

The Hurricane came to the ring, and told the citizens of Toronto that he pitied them, since although they had Vince Carter, they didn't have a superhero. He said that earlier in the evening, he had issued a super open challenge to anyone who wanted to step up and challenge him for the European Title. Out came the Big Show! Hurricane told Citizen Show that he admired his courage and valor, and that this would hurt him a lot more than it hurt Show. Hurricane tried to use his superhero skills to take down Show in the early-going, but Show was just too powerful. Hurricane went up top for a bodypress, but Show just caught him and dropped him. But the champ landed on his feet and went for a chokeslam, but obviously couldn't pick him up! Suddenly, Lance Storm came in and attacked Show, ending the bout in a DQ. Show paid the men back with a double chokeslam.

In eight-man tag action, the World Wrestling Federation team of The Rock, Chris Jericho and the APA took on Booker T, Rhyno and the Dudley Boyz, representing the Alliance. The Alliance tried isolating the People's Champion, but finally Rock was able to tag in Y2J. Jericho hit the Lionsault on Booker, but Rhyno broke up the pin. Moments later, the Dudleys hit a 3-D on Faarooq, and Bradshaw hit the Clothesline from Hell on D-Von Dudley. Rock hit a Rock Bottom on Booker T, but Shane got involved and wound up in the ring. Y2J snuck up behind Shane and locked the Boy Wonder in the Walls of Jericho, until Rhyno gored Jericho.

Booker then pinned Jericho to pick up the win for his team.

Inside WWF New York, Hardcore Holly greeted fans. Michael Cole asked how Holly has been doing, and Holly said he was in the best shape of his career, but he hadn't been on TV much lately because the Alliance hadn't challenged him. He said he had helped stop the Alliance from taking over the Federation. He said he wasn't a begger, but he said he would accept any challenge from the Alliance. He said he would show why he is the "Big Shot."

Stone Cold was pacing backstage when RVD entered his locker room. Austin said that tonight, Van Dam's name was Kurt Angle. RVD said he wasn't Kurt Angle -- he was Rob Van Dam. After Van Dam left, an enraged Rattlesnake screamed at Debra that Van Dam was Kurt Angle.

The main event on SmackDown! was a battle of Alliance members, as World Wrestling Federation Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin took on Hardcore Champion Rob Van Dam in a non-title bout. Austin's rage was apparent, attacking RVD before the bell as the arena filled with chants of "RVD!" Stone Cold pounded on RVD, but Van Dam battled back. At one point, Austin shoved RVD off the top rope, all the way to the outside! The fight soon spilled into the crowd, and Van Dam almost beheaded Austin with a roundhouse kick. But the Federation Champion regained control, and mocked the Hardcore Champ.

Stone Cold nailed a top-rope superplex, but RVD kicked out of the pin. Moments later, the two men battled to the outside, where Van Dam suplexed Austin onto the ramp. Shortly thereafter, Austin crotched RVD onto the barricade. Back in the ring, Austin went for a cover, but RVD again kicked out. Austin locked on a modified sleeperhold as the crowd chanted for Van Dam. RVD battled out of the sleeper, and Austin went for the Stunner, but RVD reversed it into a dropkick. Van Dam then went for a rolling moonsault, but Stone Cold got his knees up.

The Rattlesnake then went outside the ring and grabbed a steel chair, and was about to him Van Dam, but RVD met him with a kick to the chair, right into Austin's face! RVD then went up top, but Austin caught him. On the top rope, RVD knocked Austin down, but missed the Five-Star Frog Splash! Austin then hit the Stunner, but instead of going for the pin, he went for the ankle lock.

Suddenly, Kurt Angle's music came on, and Austin got up to look for the Olympic hero -- allowing RVD to sneak up behin him and pin him for a stunning upset! Angle laughed at Austin as the show went off the air!

The Undertaker and Kane put the WWF Tag Team Championship on the line against the Dudley Boyz as RAW kicked off live from Nashville, Tennessee! The Big Red Machine entered the match with his left elbow heavily taped, but still went right after D-Von Dudley. When Taker was tagged into the match, he took down Bubba Dudley, but D-Von re-entered the ring and helped his brother take out the Undertaker. Taker battled back, and tagged his brother Kane into the match, but the Dudleys once again double-teamed the Big Red Machine. As D-Von kept Kane busy in the ring, Bubba went after a table, and set it up outside the ring. After getting back into the ring against the Brothers of Destruction, both Dudleys found out exactly why Taker and Kane have earned that name, as the two destroyed D-Von and Bubba. Kane took Bubba outside the ring and went to chokeslam him through the table, but Kronik and Steven Richards ran to the ring and threw Kane through the table! With Kane eliminated, Bubba and D-Von hit Taker with a 3D, and pinned Undertaker to win the WWF Tag Team Championship!

In the parking area of the arena, Shane McMahon pulled in in his "WCW1" limo and was greeted by Steven Richards and Kronik. After Steven introduced himself, he offered his and Kronik's services to the Alliance

As Lance Storm leafed through the new Extreme Magazine, the Hurricane entered the room and asked Storm if he knew of someone who could be the Hurricane's new sidekick. After Storm suggested Ivory, the Hurricane said that his Hurri-sense was telling him the right person for the job. The Hurricane then wooshed away from the scene.

As Stone Cold Steve Austin arrived at the arena, he was greeted by Rob Van Dam, who was waiting for him in his dressing room. RVD had a question for Austin - why did he throw him off the stage last Monday on RAW? Austin said he did that to help him win his Hardcore Championship back from Kurt Angle. RVD said that was fine, as long as he and Austin were cool. RVD then told Stone Cold that a lot of the Alliance members were asking him for advice in the absence of Stone Cold. Austin grew hostile and asked RVD to tell him who was asking advice, but Van Dam wouldn't tell!

In singles action, Jeff Hardy entered the ring against Lance Storm. After some brutal and high-flying action, Jeff Hardy kept going for the pin, but Storm kicked out each time! Shane then asked her if she was crazy for doing the same thing once again this week! Stephanie said she had a plan, and this time, it was going to be successful. Steph told Shane that he wasn't her boss, but before she could continue, they were interrupted by Tazz, who said he needed to let some frustration out! Shane said he could in his match later. As Tazz left the room, Shane smirked as he said that the mood was about to change.

Stacy Keibler, who was wearing some very nice shoes, accompanied Shawn Stasiak to the ring for his match against Perry Saturn, who was still without Moppy. Stasiak took Saturn down to the mat, but Perry kicked out, which prompted Stacy to get up on the ring apron. As the referee was distracted, Stasiak was unable to take advantage. Once Stasiak got back in the action, he went to hit Saturn, but instead flubbed the move and hit himself in the face! Saturn took advantage and made the pin! After the match, Raven and Terri appeared on the TitanTron and told Saturn that they knew where Moppy was - then they revealed that she was strapped to a wood chipper!

Elsewhere, Stephanie paced in anger over what her brother had said when Rob Van Dam walked up and asked her if there was anything he could do that would make her feel better. Stephanie said that he could pin Chris Jericho later. RVD asked if that was it, and she said that he could also put the Hardcore title on the line against Jericho at Unforgiven! RVD said it would be no problem!

As Molly got dressed in her locker room, the Hurricane entered and asked if Molly wanted to be his new sidekick. When Spike entered the room, he asked what was going on. The Hurricane wondered what was up with Spike's hostility, and then told Molly to think about his proposal before he once again whooshed out of the room.

Tazz walked into a locker room and interrupted Shane McMahon and Booker T, wondering who his opponent would be. Shane said that Tazz would be facing Shane and Booker in a handicap match! That would enable Booker and Shane to warm up for Unforgiven, and it would allow Tazz to get out his frustrations with the Alliance!

Tazz didn't have much time to prepare, as his match was next! Shane and Booker used their man advantage on Tazz from the outset, but Tazz was able to fight off Shane. When Shane "The Money" McMahon made the tag to the Book, the match spilled outside the ring. There, as Booker distracted the ref, the Money started pounding on Tazz.

In an interview with Christian, the Coach asked Christian where Edge was. Christian replied by saying that he was impressed with how many people came to see his entrance video in person! Christian then said that Edge was probably spending all the time he could with the Intercontinental Championship, because he would be losing it at Unforgiven!

In a European Championship match, The Hurricane put his title on the line against Spike Dudley, who was accompanied to the ring by Molly Holly. During the match, The Hurricane asked Molly to put on his cape, but she refused. She threw it back in the ring, and Hurricane went after it. Molly climbed the ropes, waiting to nail The Hurricane. When he turned around, Molly flew at him, but she hit Spike instead! The Hurricane made the pin, and after the match, Molly tried to console Spike.

As Torrie Wilson walked through the backstage area, Shane McMahon walked up to her and told her that when the Alliance was ready to pull the plug on Tajiri, she would be ready. Torrie agreed, but looked worried after Shane walked away.

Kurt Angle told Michael Cole that he would become WWF Champion at Unforgiven. As he spoke, Ron Van Dam walked up. Angle asked if he could help him, and RVD said he was just listening, like last week, he was listening when the fans were chanting three letters - RVD! Angle said that later on RAW, and at Unforgiven, the fans would be chanting three different letters - U.S.A.!

Christian challenged Tajiri for the WCW U.S. Championship. The Japanese Buzzsaw was accompanied to the ring by Torrie Wilson, who kissed Tajiri before he entered the ring. Christian took advantage of that kiss and began the match as quickly as he could. As Tajiri tried to build up some offensive momentum, Christian kept fighting back. After Tajiri locked on the Tarantula, Christian took the match outside the ring. Christian went for a steel chair, and scared Torrie away from the ring. Tajiri went to hit Christian with the Green Mist, but he spit it in the eyes of the official! Christian dragged Tajiri back into the ring and went to hit him with the One-Man Con-Chairto, when Edge entered the ring! Christian ran to the back as Edge was held back in the ring by officials.

The main event of RAW saw Chris Jericho team up with Kurt Angle to face the team of Rob Van Dam and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Y2J began the match immediately, going after RVD as the crowd chanted U.S.A. When the match entered the ring, it was Jericho against Austin. Soon, Van Dam entered the frey and started pounding on Jericho, but Jericho reversed a hold and took down RVD, enabling him to tag in Angle. What did you think of RAW IS WAR? E-mail us and tell us what you thought of the show!

One night after an Unforgiven Pay-Per-View no one will soon forget, RAW IS WAR kicked off live from Columbus, Ohio, and while looking at a live shot of the parking lot, Jim Ross stated that everyone was awaiting the arrival of the former World Wrestling Federation Champion, Stone Cold Steve Austin!

Fresh off a successful defense of the WCW Tag Team Championship at Unforgiven, the Undertaker and Kane teamed with Bradshaw of the APA to face Federation Tag Team Champions the Dudley Boyz and Test. Bradshaw wasted no time by attacking Test before he could get into the ring. Once Test recovered, he tagged in D-Von Dudley, who was met with a fall away slam.
Kane then proceeded to take apart the Alliance trio until a Test boot to the face nearly ended the match.

The Dudleys and Test worked over the Big Red Machine for the next five minutes until Kane caught Test in a powerslam and tagged in the Undertaker. A short time later, Bradshaw took out Bubba Ray Dudley with his Clothesline from Hell, which left D-Von prey for Taker's Last Ride and a win for the Federation trio!

Torrie Wilson was applying makeup when she heard a knock on a door. She thought it was Tajiri, but instead it was Stacy Keibler. Stacy asked her friend she was involved with Tajiri, who was not a member of the Alliance.

RAW RESULTS -- Sept. 24, 2001

Torrie told Stacy it was nobody's business why she was involved with Tajiri, and that at least she had a man! Stacy -- who said she likes her men tall, dark and handsome -- insisted she can snap her fingers and have any man she wanted, and offered to find a man to fight Tajiri. Torrie gladly accepted, saying they don't call her man the Japanese Buzzsaw for nothing!

A live shot of the parking lot showed a limo pulling in. Paul Heyman was expecting Steve Austin, but instead, Christian, the new Intercontinental Champion, walked out. Christian instructed a parking attendant to protect him from his hordes of fans by walking him to the building, and then come back to the limo and get his bags.

Shane McMahon addressed the Alliance troops to tell him they could not have a night like Unforgiven, and that they should give Stone Cold a standing ovation when he arrives. Shane said that Austin did not lose the Federation Championship, and had tape to prove it. He insisted that Austin did not tap out, but instead reached under the bottom rope, therefore, the match should have continued. Shane also said that two other people were screwed by Earl Hebner -- he and Booker T -- so tonight was going to be all about reevenge.

Then an excited Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley entered and asked if everyone was excited about her birthday. She disagreed with her brother and said tonight was not about revenge, but about leadership by example.

RAW RESULTS -- Sept. 24, 2001

The Billion Dollar Princess proclaimed that one man from the Alliance stood out as a leader at Unforgiven -- Rob Van Dam -- much to the dismay of Booker T. Steph said that she was going to give herself a birthday present -- a WCW Title Match between The Rock and RVD! Booker again looked angry, but Shane said that Booker would challenge Kurt Angle and bring the Federation Championship back to the Alliance, which pumped up the five-time WCW Champion!

Tajiri and Torrie Wilson walked to the ring to await Stacy Keibler's choice of opponent, someone who was tall, dark and handsome: Tazz, accompanied by Stacy, who grabbed the mic to tell Torrie that "two out of three ain't bad!

Tazz went right to work on Tajiri's injured ribs in this rematch from SummerSlam. Tajiri counted with a back kick, handspring flying elbow and the Tarantula. After a roundhouse kick to Tazz's head, Stacy suddenly grabbed Tajiri and kissed him, which prompted Torrie to slap her in the face! While the two Alliance women quarreled outside, Tazz caught Tajiri in the Tazzmission to win the match, much to Stacy's delight!

In the back, Shane gave Booker T a pep talk and told him that tonight the Book could be the "first-time, first-time, first-time, World Wrestling Federation Champion!" Shane told Booker that although he couldn't be out there with him, he would be with him in spirit. After Booker left the room, Shane told himself he had something to take care of.

and Heyman officially announced the Kurt Angle - Booker T Federation Championship match, and that Commissioner William Regal ruled that nobody would be allowed ringside, not even WCW owner Shane McMahon.

WCW U.S. Champion Rhyno made his first defense against Jeff Hardy. Hardy's quickness worked until Rhyno caught him a spinebuster, but Rhyno's decision to ascend to the top rope and attempt a splash failed. Hardy floored Rhyno with a series of unorthodox maneuvers until being caught in a belly-to-belly suplex. Hardy once again came back and went to the top for the Swanton Bomb. But Rhyno moved at the last minute. His first attempt at the Gore missed, but when Hardy came off the second rope, Rhyno's second attempt was successful as he caught him in mid-air to win the match!

Lance Storm and Ivory were talking in the hallway when they were joined by The Hurricane, who revealed he was thinking about for their upcoming six-person match. Hurricane's "Hurri-senses" told Ivory she was in grave danger, and told her to wait for them at the entrance. With Ivory gone and out of earshot, Hurricane told Storm he was ready to commit to Molly Holly to be his full-time sidekick, and after the match, Molly would have no choice but to see the Hurri-light! Hurricane then asked Storm to activate the Hurri-twin powers! Hurricane took the shape of a hurricane, while Storm reluctantly took the form of an ice storm!

Kanyon approached Rob Van Dam for advice, telling him he was all freaked out and worried that Stone Cold would take his frustrations out on him. RVD told him not to worry and to just chill, and asked him what happened to that "Who better than Kanyon" attitude. Kanyon thanked RVD and told him, "Who better than RVD?"

Up next was The Hurricane, Lance Storm and Ivory taking on the Big Show, Molly Holly and Spike Dudley -- who was dressed like the Little Show! Hurricane challenged Show to a test of strength, but failed miserably! Hurricane then slapped Show, but was simply tossed aside and tagged in Ivory, who was also no match for the Show! Big Show then tagged in Molly, who went to work on Ivory. When Ivory had Molly open for a Storm kick, Hurricane stopped him and asked, "What's up with that?"

Hurricane then donned the cape and took to the air -- and landed on Spike. But Spike fought back with a flying head scissors and tagged Show back in. Show began to clean house and set up Hurricane for the chokeslam until Ivory broke it up. With Storm down, Molly climbed up Show's shoulders and pinned Storm with the Molly-Go-Round!

Earl Hebner met with Shane McMahon. Shane told Hebner he screwed he and Booker out of the WCW Title and Steve Austin out of the Federation Championship at Unforgiven. Shane then showed Hebner the tape, which showed Austin's right hand under the bottom rope.

RAW RESULTS -- Sept. 24, 2001

Hebner explained that Austin was tapping out, and that he made an honest mistake, but his decision still stands and Kurt Angle was still the Federation Champion. Shane warned that mistakes had better not happen during Booker's match with Angle, and that when Stone Cold arrives, Hebner had better make himself scarce.

The new and proud Federation Champion Kurt Angle soaked in the cheers of the Columbus crowd before his title defense against Booker T. The match began with an Angle belly-to-back suplex and a near fall, but Booker countered with an elbow and a near fall of his own. Angle almost ended the match in under two minutes with the Ankle Lock, but Booker was able to reach the ropes.

Booker then began to target Angle's injured neck and continually halted any attempt at an Angle rally. Angle finally mounted some offense with a belly-to-belly suplex and a German suplex. When Angle went for the Angle Slam, Booker countered by apparently throwing Angle into referee Earl Hebner, and put Angle down with a sidekick to Angle's neck. Booker then leveled Angle with the Federation Championship belt, but Angle was able to kick out at the last half second.

Booker then went for the Book End, which Angle counted into a back suplex. After a second Booker kick to Angle's neck, Booker showed off the Spineroonie. But Booker missed a follow-up sidekick, and Angle locked on the Angle lock. Booker had no choice but to tap out, and Angle retained the Federation Championship!

Lita was hanging out in the weight room when Kanyon walked in and asked her to hang out after his match with Matt Hardy, to find out personally the answer to the question, "Who better than Kanyon? Nobody baby!" Lita asked Kanyon to repeat himself, which confirmed her belief that he did, in fact, have a speech impediment.

While Christian entered the ring for his Intercontinental Title defense against Chris Jericho, footage was shown of a doctor working on Edge's eye. The champion bragged that the world discovered who the better brother was at Unforgiven. He then announced the moment he had waited for his whole life -- his very own five-second pose, which was interrupted by Jericho's entrance. While on the outside, Christian grabbed the ring bell, and hit Jericho in the head with it to force a disqualification. But Christian wasn't through. He had Jericho set up for the one-man Con-chair-to, but missed. Y2J then locked Christian in the Walls of Jericho! Christian was tapping, but it took three Federation officials to pry Y2J off of him!

X-Pac was talking on the telephone in Commissioner Regal's office complaining to someone about the lack of television time. Regal asked what in the blue hell X-Pac was doing in his office, and X-Pac accused Regal of never getting him on TV time and doing nothing as a Commissioner. Regal screamed X-Pac that he will get his TV time -- a match with the Commissioner himself!

RVD was stretching his legs when he was approached by Raven, who complained he was in a funk of late and that losing to Perry Saturn at Unforgiven was a new low. Van Dam told Raven he needed to lighten up and snap out of it. Then Stephanie arrived and shook RVD's hand. She told him she was so impressed with his leadership skills and that she saw greatness in him. She also said that after she defeated The Rock for the WCW Title, he would be the leader of the Alliance. RVD told Steph that he didn't know about being a leader, but he was honored to get the title shot. Van Dam assured Stephanie he would not let her down, and Stephanie told him he had better not. After she left, RVD seemed intrigued with the concept of Alliance leader!

Matt Hardy's match with Kanyon was up next. Kanyon seemed more focused on hitting on Lita than the match, but a Lita slap to his face seemed to put Kanyon back in focus, at least temporarily. After a couple of near falls, Kanyon was still eyeing Lita. The fight took to the top rope, where Hardy pushed Kanyon down and hit a leg drop from the second rope. Lita even contributed with a Lita-con-rada on Kanyon while on the outside. Matt had Kanyon ready for the Twist of Fate, but Kanyon pushed Hardy off and into Lita, which caused Lita to fall to the floor. That left Hardy open for a Kanyon Flatliner, and a victory for Kanyon.

Stone Cold's arrival was still pending, which was getting J.R. more and more nervous and impatient...

Diamond Dallas Page was back, and he addressed fans with an evil smile! He admitted that although he was on the receiving end of a beating by the Undertaker, which was a good thing, because what mattered was not getting back down, but getting back up. DDP said he did some soul searching, and that he found the real DDP. He told people that they would like DDP, and DDP would help them like themselves.

At WWF New York, each "WWF Tough Enough" finalist explained why they deserved a guaranteed Federation contract.

The Rock was asked by Michael Cole his thoughts about his WCW Title defense against Rob Van Dam. The Rock explained that Unforgiven was a very special night for him because he walked out still the WCW Champion. Rock then said that tonight was also a special night because for the first time, he would be defending the WCW Title against Rob Van Dam. Tonight was also special to The Rock because it was Stephanie's birthday, and he warned her that if she got involved in The Rock's match, then just like the doctor wiped all the afterbirth goo off her body 25 years ago, Rock would slap her candy ass! Rock then wanted to help celebrate Stephanie's birthday by singing her a birthday song:

Happy Birthday to Steph
You're a ho with big breasts
So take the night off from hooking
If you smell what The Rock is cooking!

Backed by new entrance music performed by Saliva, Federation Light-Heavyweight Champion and WCW Cruiserweight Champion X-Pac made his way to the ring for his match against Commissioner Regal. The Commish ended a competitive, scientific, non-title by pinning X-Pac.

It was finally time for The Rock's WCW Title defense against Rob Van Dam. But before the match began, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, the Billion Dollar Princess/birthday girl, made her way to ringside to cheer on Van Dam, and smirked at the People's Champion, who she pinned last week on RAW.

Rock got started with a couple of quick arm drag take downs, and RVD answered with a reverse heel kick. When the fight took to the outside, the Federation Hardcore Champion gained the advantage and nearly won after a flying karate kick from the top rope. Much to the delight of Stephanie, Van Dam continued on the offensive, ramming Rock's head into the steel steps before taking apart the American announce table. When RVD charged The Rock, the WCW Champion backdropped him on that very table.

Back in the ring, Van Dam kicked out after a Rock spinebuster, and soon missed a split-legged moonsault. Stephanie then got involved by slapping The Rock. But the Great One battled back with a series of right hands, DDT and a Sharpshooter! But Stephanie climbed to the apron, which forced Rock to break the hold and chase Stephanie up the rampway. Rock grabbed Steph by the hair and dragged her into the ring.

He was about to give her the Rock Bottom, but RVD caught him from behind. Van Dam then went up for the Five Star Frog Splash, but Stephanie pushed referee Charles Robinson into the ropes, which forced RVD to slip and fall! One Rock Bottom later, The Rock retained the WCW Title, and the birthday girl walked away crying! The Rock celebrated in the ring as RAW went off the air!
