UM BOM ANO É O DESEJO DA

THE ICE HAS TURNED OFF THE FIRE

Anand wins again and it is placed to a point of the title. Alexéi Shírov's nerves collapsed yesterday in the face of Viswanathan Anand in the third game of the of the official Championship World that both dispute in Teheran.  After their second victory, Anand dominates for 2,5-0,5 and he only needs one more point.

Anand was very concise in its manifestations: "Shírov has rushed unnecessarily to the attack. I am happy for the precision of my defence and for the fine work technique that was required to transform my advantage into victory. The bereavement has not still finished. I am sure that Shírov will fight again. Tomorrow  I will go for a walk and I will close up with my team to prepare the fourth game", he said, in reference to their trainer, the Georgian Elizbar Ubilava, and their analyst, the Spanish Pablo San Segundo.

Anand became a very solid and cautious player, even criticised by their conservative game. However, he opted for the sharp Sicilian defence, accepting this way the "absolute fight" against Shírov, a born attacker.

It was when the position required long term vision, where Shírov lost. Very hurried of time he -only had 18 minutes for 20 moves -,  he entered in such an attractive combination as pretty as unjustified. With almost an hour and a half of advantage, Anand  exhibited the prodigious technique that made famous  Anatoli Kárpov. A friend of Shírov, the great teacher Valeri Sálov, summarised this way it: "Anand has played today an almost perfect chess and to an astonishing speed."

Now, Anand is very closed to the final victory.
