Find YOUR Vacume/ boost leak | ||||||||||
This is what I did to Find my boost leak and it should work for you as well. 1. Remove the air filter or box or the entire afm set up... 2. Find a powerfull but not noisy vacume cleaner (no 100db shop vacs) 3. hook a plastic bag to the intake pipe (tape) and attach the vacume to that so the vacume can suck on the pipe :-0 4. now turn on the vacume and listen for leaks... the entire system sould be seald up (maby a little valve overlap, but the TB is closed) 5. alternitivly, if you are inside.. use a cigar or some other smoke making device to fill up the area with smoke and watch to see were it gets sucked... 6. You may have to prop open the TB to check for vacume leaks... good luck |
