Judy: Finally tonight, a treat for fans of New Zealand music, our first look at the new music video by high-flying rock band Zed. But this isn’t just any video, it boasts the hand of Hollywood and a star turn. Rochelle Gillespie explains.
*Starlight vid plays*
RG *voiceover*: Fans
have waited 2 years, but finally the new Zed single is here
*cuts to shot of Zed at
record company offices*
Nath: It’s just a
classic little love song isn’t it really
RG: A love song with
a lot going for it, it’s the lead song in the soundtrack for a new movie
written, produced and starring Rob Shneider, who had a hit playing the
male gigalo Deuce Bigalow *scene from movie*
RG: His new flick
The Hot Chick is tipped to be a success in the Christmas market
*cuts back to shot of Zed,
and random shot of their hands*
Ben: He specially
requested that the song be put on, on his movie
RG: And for that,
the band got a Hollywood star in their music video
Nath: It’s a role
reversal film, where Rob and the lead actress – the hot chick – they swap
places, and so when we did the video with Rob we actually did the same
sort of thing, with Rob and myself
RG: This is a quick
trip home, then there’s the movie’s premiere to play at
Ben: Back to Hollywood,
hopefully play for some of the A-List…C-List
Age: Don’t worry about
that joke
Nath: *leans over
Age* Z-List ahahaha (lol Nath is so class)
RG: Then it’s back
to the studio, to finish a new album, out in the middle of next year
Sleazy Ben kept doing that hardcore starey thing to the reporter, which scares me coz she’s prob 35 with 2 kids. Nath was wearing the grey T with red numbers, Ben the puffa vest, Andy dark blue (didn’t see him much coz he didn’t say anything *wow what a surprise*), and Age the eagle sweatshirt. Falcon, eagle…yep one of those.
