Hatred Comes
To Those Who Wait
It was November 18th, the day of
the Robbie Williams concert, and Liz and Megan were one of the hundreds of
excited Aucklanders standing outside Ericsson stadium.
"I can't believe this!" Megan squealed. "We're going to see HIM!
THE GOD HIMSELF! ROBBIE WILLIAMS!" She looked faint.
Liz grinned from ear to ear.
"I KNOW DOOD! I KNOW! Oh it's finally happening! After six months of
waiting… pity we're gonna be apart though!"
This was true as Liz had a GA ticket, whilst Megan went all out and bought a
Gold seat.
"I know… but still! I'll be in the front of the Gold and you'll be in the
front of the GA! Got it?"
"Got it," Liz nodded.
This was also gonna be true, considering they were in the front of a long line
that had already formed outside the gates of the stadium. Camping out for five
days had made this possible.
Liz and Megan suddenly swirled around to a huge jolting sound. They looked up to
see the huge gates of Ericsson stadium grind open. Liz and Megs exchanged
glances and they both noticed that they were both excited and nervous.
The ticket men ripped their tickets and
showed them to their appropriate gates.
"Now," Megan instructed over the roar of the crowd. "Afterwards,
meet here, k??"
Liz nodded, being pushed around and battered by passing people trying to get a
good place.
"LETS GO!" she yelled.
The concert was brilliant. Robbie came on
and played his best songs. Megan and Liz sang along to EVERY lyric, as they knew
them off by heart. They danced and sung and screamed… and Megan SWORE Robbie
caught her eye and smiled at her…
The concert was, unfortunately, drawing to an end, and they knew it. Robbie was
getting more tired looking by the minute and about two hours had passed.
"WELLLLLL… IT'S BEEN GREAT TO BE HERE AUCKLAND!" Robbie screeched.
The crowd went crazy.
"ROBBIE! ROBBIE! ROBBIE!" they chanted. The people in the stands
stamped their feet, and the people on the ground roared and yelled.
"Ohhhhhh... Alright! One more song!" Robbie said, giving in. He was
obviously tired, but looked excited.
"And have I got a treat for you!" he went on. "I'm going to
choose a person out of the audience to go to Robbie Land with me!"
Everybody screamed. Everyone wanted to go to Robbie Land!
Suddenly there was a large "EEEEERRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!" Eyes were
diverted to the sky where a large blimp was hovering over the stadium, lights
flashing, and a rope ladder slowly lowering itself down. It blew it's horn
again.
"EEEEEERRRRRGGGGGGHHH!!!!!"
People pointed and whispered and stared. Nobody had seen anything quite like it,
but Robbie looked perfectly relaxed, almost glad to see it there.
"Now… who will I choose?" he said, searching the crowd.
Meanwhile, Megan and Liz were in awe of the
whole situation. They would absolutely die if they weren't chosen to go in the
blimp, and would do ANYTHING to get onto it.
Megan looked back up at Robbie, and noticed he was whispering to his fellow band
mates, pointing and looking right at her. Her heart skipped a beat. Could it
be…?
"I think I have chosen my lucky passenger tonight folks!"
The crowd screamed and yelled. Megan swallowed and remained silent.
"Michael, James, whattya think?" he went on, pointing in Megan's
direction and talking to his fellow band mates.
They nodded approvingly.
"RIGHT!" Robbie said. "Hoist me up!"
The rope ladder hanging from the blimp had reached the stage, and Robbie
clambered onto the first few rungs.
"OVER HERE!" he yelled, pointing directly at Megan this time.
"NO, RIGHT! OKAY LEFT! NO NO NO KEEP GOING STRAIGHT! ARGH!"
Megan started to panic, and wondered if this was a dream or reality. As Robbie
sailed towards her, she heard faintly "MEEGGGAAN!"
She turned behind her to see Liz, screaming and pushing her way to the front of
the GA section. "DOOD! DOOD HE'S COMING TOWARDS YOU!"
She turned to look back at Robbie, and noticed that now he was hovering directly
above her, the ladder lowered down to her level.
"JUMP ON!" he yelled, smiling at her. She freaked. She couldn't move,
stuck to the spot, glued to the floor.
"GET ON!" Robbie demanded impatiently, shaking the ladder in her face.
"HURRY UP!"
People were already started to sabotage the ladder, and Robbie had to fend them
off with his microphone.
"MEEEGAN!" Megan heard a voice yelling. "GET ON! GO!"
Megan did what Liz said, and climbed the first rung of the ladder.
"OKAY, UP!" Robbie motioned to the blimp pilot. The ladder gave a jerk
upwards, and out of reach of the crowd. Megan clung to it with all her life.
After awhile, and feeling a bit more confident, Megan climbed a few more rungs.
"WAIT!" she yelled. "MY FRIEND LIZ DOWN THERE!! I CAN'T LEAVE
HER!!"
Robbie looked at the girl Megs was pointing at, standing still and smiling at
Megan.
"Oh what the hell… we'll take her with us!" Robbie said smiling.
"DOWN A BIT… LEFT…!" he directed.
Liz couldn't believe her eyes. The ladder was coming towards her. Could this
mean…
"GET ON!" Megan and Robbie both yelled. Liz didn't hesitate, and
jumped on the ladder.
The blimp gave another dangerous jerk up towards the sky, and the girls realised
their ladder was being hoisted up and into the great flying craft.
Out of the cold, and in a nice huge room with a fireplace, kitchen and spa pool, the girls relaxed in the Blimp. The blimp turned, and headed towards Robbie Land, where the girls and Robbie lived in bliss forever and had a never ending supply of Robbie CD's, drinks with little umbrella's in it, and chocolate fudge sundaes like the ones at McDonalds that are only $2.50 each.
THE END!
