Aurora

1995

The Aurora was introduced in the spring of '94 as a 1995 model. Some call it the car that saved Oldsmobile. Its shape was and still is unlike anything else on the road. It marked a new styling direction for Olds with its clean unadorned good looks and lack of exterior badging. World class power came from a Northstar derived 4.0L 250 horsepower V-6.

1996

Daytime Running Lamps were added to Oldsmobile's '96 Auroras. The rear window was also reshaped for less distortion while backing up. Gold trim and chrome wheels were added to the options list.

1997

For 1997, all Aurora's were treated to larger front brakes and a compass which was integrated into the rear view mirror. An in-dash CD player and 3-channel garage door opener were new options.

1998

For 1998, the Aurora recieved next generation duel front airbags. Onstar was added to the options list. There were also three new exterior color choices.
