Whats New For '96- Convertibles are gone. Series III and series IV models are added to the line up. Aluminum Wheels, leather wrapped steering wheel and six-speaker dimensional sound system went from standard to optional on base Series I cars. The base 3.1-liter V-6 has been reworked to cut friction, emmisions and noise, but horsepower remains the same. This will be the last year for the 3.4 V-6 which has a higher compression ratio for a 5 horsepower gain. .
