Me and Ray are definitely better as friends. I'm not expecting
anything from him any more and I'm being disappointed. A few
months ago I wondered if we'd be better as friends but then things
would get better and then worse, it was a roller coaster I'm
glad to be off.
We still hang out and we're friendly. He asked me to take
pictures of him to send to his mom. The other day he asked me
to help him draw up a contract for a paint job him and a buddy
are going to do. Then he calls me up and asks what it was that
he ate at my house the night before.
"Leftover chicken helper."
"How do you make it?"
"Get a box of chicken helper and a pound of chicken and
follow the directions on the box."
"What do I need?"
"A bit of butter, milk and water."
"Is that it?"
"Yep."
"Well, maybe tomorrow we can go grocery shopping."
"Okay."
Well, we never went shopping since he started the aforementioned
painting job.

There have been so many personnel changes at work I'm having
trouble keeping up with the comings and goings. One girl in accounting
got fired and the other quit and an older lady and a 12 yr old
looking kid were hired. Then the older lady wasn't seen for a
week or two then the even older lady that left last winter for
cancer treatments came back. But I figured it was to fill in
for the head accountant who went on vacation but guess she's
staying. There is a new girl in sales. Shipping had 1 Mike, now
they have 2 Mikes and a Micheal and we're down to two Jennifers.
Then sexy ceo's wife left for North Dakota but he's staying
here and one of the guys in inventory control up and quit over
some little spat with the president's niece. The other guy that
was training under him moved back up to accounting to cover for
the vacationing accountant and the two that left. He has been
shadowed by the really young looking kid and there still isn't
anyone in inventory control.
The Space Cadet Jesus left and two more guys came in to Graphics.
A quiet little geeky looking 22 yr old who seems really sweet
and has many tattoos and a red headed guy who bitches, but tries
to make it sound like it's just his observation.
Red, yesterday, suggested that we get rid of our scanner by
moving it into the art dept, that way the artists don't have
to come into graphics to use it. They only use it once or twice
a week, if that. I use it to scan over 200 images a month. That
scanner isn't going anywhere. I told him it needed to stay in
graphics but he didn't believe me until Grunt who was sitting
right there said the same thing then all of a sudden Red decided
that maybe it should stay here and it was his idea to allow the
scanner to stay.
His first day there he told me he was going to get rid of
the Mac in the art dept. First, it isn't his department and second
we sometimes get cd's that were burned on a Mac and that's the
only way we can access those files. Then his second day he told
me if he didn't get Adobe Go Live he was going to quit that day.
Go Live showed up and the tech guy who went out to buy it wasn't
happy about it because he got a phone call late the night before
telling him to pick it up before he came to work the next day.
Red said if his short term goals weren't met, he would leave.
Been nice knowing ya.
