Memory poems

I knew you the least,
But I miss you the most.
I took you for granted,
But you loved me utmost.
You were kind,
Caring, loyal, and true
Give your life for you family,
That's what you'd do.
You've lived a hearty life,
You've seen it all.
The wars, the hatred,
The fights, the brawls.
I knew you were a good man,
Wise and strong.
You reasoned out a situation,
Used humor to block the wrong.
You did more for me
That you could ever know.
I love you with all my heart,
A thank you I wish I could show.
I don't think it was fair
That your life had to be taken away.
But again we'll be reunited
On that Glorious Day.

We've known each other
For a very long time.
We have a strong bond
Which no one can unbind.

But I've drifted away
Over a course of a year.
'I'm sorry,' I said,
And along came a tear.

'I've been busy,
I just can't be there.'
I would take it all back
The grief I would spare.

Now I believe
That we should start anew,
Our bond and trust, again,
I will not misdo.

I thank you for the chance
And the memories we've made.
My love, my loyalty,
Shall never again fade.
