The coasts around the British Isles

Short-term surface pressure charts
These are the most fundamental charts, showing you where the lows and highs are expected in the Atlantic. Predictions given for up to 3 days ahead.

Medium-term surface pressure charts
These give predictions of surface pressure from 3 to 6 days ahead. Less reliable than the short-term ones.

Long-term surface pressure charts
Surface pressure charts for up to 10 days ahead. Also show gale probability contours. Red contours mean strong wind, purple means slack wind. Charts supplied by FNMOC

Long-term surface charts (fast)
As above, for up to 9 days ahead but all on the same page. These charts also show the 500mb height contours (the jet stream).

Medium-term wave prediction charts
Separate charts of wave height and period. Period is useful in distinguishing between windsea and swell (short period = windsea, long period = swell).

Long-term wave prediction charts
Predictions of wave heights and direction of wave travel for up to 5 days ahead. Less reliable, and they don't go right up to the coast, but useful nonetheless.

Direct link to NGP Charts
Various charts from FNMOC. For example, hit "Europe" and then "FNMOC WAM", "all times". These charts will give you wave height and wind arrows (no wave direction though).
