BULAWANONG BIDA NG BARANGAY FESTIVAL (May to August).  Annual contest among the city's 54 Barangays, evaluated according to the areas general cleanliness, sanitation and environment, infrastructure, barangay administration, community mobilization, etc.Back to top

CHARTER DAY CELEBRATION (August 25-31).  Weeklong festivities marked by a sportsfest, grand parade, and evening affairs, done in  commemoration of the city's founding (charter) last August 31, 1970.Back to top

BONOK-BONOK MARADJAO KARADJAO FESTIVAL (September 9). A day long   Mardi Gras marked by street dancing festivities featuring the ethnic Mamanwa dance. the festival is done in celebration of the annual fiesta honoring the city's Patron Saint San Nicolas College de Tolentino.Back to top

TILAW SA PAGKAONG SURIGAONON (September 22).  An annual festivity held every 22nd day of September  during the National Tourism Week Celebration, showcasing exotic seafoods and a wide display of Surigaonon products and delicacies from the different culinary expertise of the barangayanons and establishments in the city.Back to top

BATTLE OF SURIGAO STRAIT (October 23-25). Held every 25th day of October in commemoration of the Second World War's Greatest Naval Battle in Philippine Airforce and a Memorial Cruise along the Surigao Strait of the Philippine Navy Ship.Back to top

PASKUHAN (December). Annual search for local talent's creativeness and ingenuities in the rendition of Daygon (christmas carols), Parol (lanterns), Belen (manger). The festivity is highlighted by 3 major competitions such as: The Well - Lighted Barangay, Best Decorated Tourism Related Establishment and Cleanest and Best Decorated Gasoline Station in the city.Back to top
