In this scene, Levni depicts the presentation of.gifts to the sultan by those holding the rank of pasha–in this case mostly governors and governor generals. As in previous.gift-giving scenes, the.gifts are surrendered to the steward of the Doormen. In the upper part of (110b), the sultan and grand vizier are in their usual places with their retinues. The sultan is accompanied by two of his sons. In the foreground we see a prancing chestnut horse fitted out in lavishly appointed trappings and followed by four servants carrying more.gifts in bundles. In (111a) the.gift-bringing continues with three more horses and servants carrying bundles and arranged in an S-shaped curve similar to the order used in the guild parade scenes.
