The banquet on the ninth day of the festival was for the leaders of the Bostanji corps and of other corps in the personal service of the sultan. In (122b) the first table is presided over by Governor Ali Pasha of Raqqa with the first and second masters of the Horse seated to his left. To his right are the three chiefs of the sultan’s Falconers and Hawkers. The seventh guest at the table, dressed in a pink kaftan, must be the chief of the Bostanji corps. The second table in the foreground is occupied (according to Vehbi) by Governor İbrahim Pasha of Maraş, Tevkii Mustafa Pasha, and the chief of the Exchequer along with superintendent of the Barley Office, the chief Armorer, and the two ranking officers of the Household Cavalry. In (123a) we see two more tables set up in the smaller guest tent. On the basis of their costumes, these must be lower-ranking officers of the Bostanji and Privy Stables corps.
