COTTAGE PIE WITH HORSERADISH MASH |
SERVES ................4 CALORIES.............375 FAT........................18g |
1 tablespn olive oil 1 onion finely chopped 300g(10oz) carrots toppes tailed and peeled 500g(1lb) lean mince 300ml beef stock salt and pepper 700g(1.5lb) potatos peeled and cut into chunks 3 tablespns horseradish sauce 4 tablespn skimmed milk 2 tablespns chopped parsley |
1 heat the oil in a large non-stick frying pan gentley fry the onions and carrots add mince and cook for 10 mins until brown stir in the stock gently simmer for 15-20 mins season to taste 2 pre-heat the oven to gas mark 5-190 C boil potatoes until tender drain and mash mix with horseradish and milk and chopped parsley season to taste 3 transfere the beef mixture into a large cassarole dish spoon the mash over the meat to cover use a fork to score the top. cook for 20-30 mins until piping hot 4 serve with steamed veg |
TIP this pie can be prepared 1 day in advance just cook for an extra20-30 mins can also be frozen |
