#002 - First Impressions

The Amber Revolution is coming!! The Amber Revolution is coming!!! What a way to start the game and the first episode of Survivor Cheju Do.  Picking their own tribes was a bit interesting.  Josh seemed to step up as the leader of “tribe popular” but that could end up hurting him later if he comes on as too bossy.  Tribe Rejects had several pretty silent players but if they play it right they could turn out deadly. Let’s talk about the tribes a second.

Tribe Joseon began to call themselves the reject tribe and most of them didn’t seem to be too happy about.  I wouldn’t be either, you never want to get stuck with a bunch of people that aren’t going to be active or talkative but not all of them are to blame and hopefully a few will make it through.  I’m not so sure Brian should have been so quick to make an alliance with Krista and Ryan but if wants to win this game he will need to hold tight to the pack and leave the dirty work to the others.  I can definitely see Brian outlasting the other 2.  Brian is smart and has a great understanding of the game but people could see him as a threat. I see Andy as the pessimist of the Joseon Tribe.  I hope it doesn’t rub off on some of the other tribe mates.  I think Ryan is the opposite and will be the Joseon optimist.  Even after thrown onto the “reject” tribe he said he was happy to be there.  But is he just covering something up?  OH MY Jessica!  She’s a feisty one with a bit of a temper. She is definitely outspoken.  She could either come off as the bitch or the annoyance.  I’m definitely going to like reading about her.  Joy, what happened?  I bet if you would have been more active with the challenge you would have brought a bite to the show.  Too bad, so sad, see ya later.   Jawa and Karen, who are you?  You didn’t get much air time.  I’m guessing the two of them won’t make it very far unless they step up the activeness.  Favorite Joseon from Episode 1 - Brian

The Goreyo Tribe on the other hand looks like they could have some problems early on.  A tribe full of active, social, competitive people could cause at of butting heads.  I can’t wait to see the arguments!  What in the world are these people thinking.  There are 8 people in the tribe and 6 of them make an alliance?  Come on people.  I’m picking Liz as the ditz of the group.  I think she is going to get easily manipulated though this thing.  People will probably keep her around to use her but she will be expendable.  Devon and Robert seem to be very smart players.  Hopefully they are smart enough to stick together, help each other out and at the same time keep each other in check.  Looks like Devon always wants to be the “good guy” and he may like to run his mouth a bit so he should watch what he says.  Robert is playing the game.  So far he has been holding his cards and only letting the others take a peak without giving too much away.   Michael and Marie seemed to get pretty close.  They agreed to that alliance of 6 but Michael seems to know exactly what he is doing.  I’m guessing he will probably lay low for a while and people won’t suspect him of playing hard, but he is.  Is his going to string Marie along or will he be true to the end?  I can’t figure Sam out yet.  I think she is trying to hard to fit in.  I see her going earlier then later in the game.  Like I said before, Josh was the early leader but could end up stepping on some toes.  Mick, is the counter to Joseon’s Jawa and Karen, he needs to speak up or he will be left behind.  Favorite Goreyo from Episode 1 – Robert

Ok readers there you have my take on the first 3 days.  I have a feeling things are going to get very interesting, very quickly.  Until next week - Atacama Amy
