A small fishing ship was being tossed and turned in the stormy Mediterranean waters. On board, were 16 individuals about to start their second adventure of a lifetime. These people had been to the wilds of Alaska, the tropics of Tonga, the tundras of Kazakhstan or the jungles of Guinea-Bissau outwitting, outplaying, and ultimately outlasting each other all for the pride of winning. Among the course of those games, several people stuck out as exceptional players, but the opprotunity was given to sixteen of the most controversial, backstabbed and best players to once again prove that they are elite. They have been divided into two tribes of eight, forced to live together in the wilderness of the historical island of Elba, where Napoleon once was exiled in 1815 before his dramatic return to France. These 16 are eagerly awaiting the start of this game. On the Campione (champion) tribe, which will always wear blue are:
Andrew N., a 15-year-old high school student from Cleveland, OH. In Survivor: Denali, Andrew was so fed up with his teammates, he gave up immunity, leading to his being voted out.
Bruce M., a 16-year-old high school student from Albany, NY. In Survivor: Guinea-Bissau, Bruce played the game exceedingly well and just missed winning by a single vote.
Christopher K., a 19-year-old McDonalds Manager from New Carlisle, IN. In Survivor: Tonga, Chris was the group's funny man and a very popular player.
Jon C., a 16-year-old high school student from Kansas City, KS. In Survivor: Tonga, Jon, an outside chance to do well in the game, nearly made the final four.
Mike C., a 17-year-old high school student from Bloomington, IN. In Survivor: Balkhash, Mike was the ringleader of a very strong alliance that almost won the game.
Mike D., a 17-year-old high school student from New York, NY. In Survivor: Denali, Mike emerged as one of the biggest schemers in SCOGH history.
Missy A., a 35-year-old "wonder woman" from Roanoke, VA. In Survivor: Balkhash, Missy was the most popular contestant as well as being a very smart player.
Ryan G., a 12-year-old student from Ontario, Canada. In Survivor: Guinea-Bissau, Ryan was the game's main schemer and made his enemies pay.
The Tutto-Stella (All-star) tribe, which will always wear silver consists of:
Brenda J., a 46-year-old computer store owner from Bayou Vista, TX. In Survivor: Denali, Brenda took on the mother role, which earned her second place.
Dan L., a 23-year-old payroll clerk from Calgary, Alberta. In Survivor: Denali, Dan was arguably the most hated player, yet he won the game in a unanimous jury vote.
Edison T., a 23-year-old student from Singapore. In Survivor: Tonga, Edison was the center of every argument, he did well enough to come in third place.
Eve T., a 24-year-old waitress from Chicago, IL. In Survivor: Balkhash, Eve received the most previous votes in SCOGH history and gave a damming jury speech.
James M., a 15-year-old student from Australia. In Survivor: Tonga, James was an incredibly popular player and nearly won the game.
Jasper C., a 21-year-old student from Fort Lauderdale, FL. In Survivor: Guinea-Bissau, he was a lock to win the game, until he got backstabbed in the final four.
Lexi W., a 16-year-old high school student from Kentwood, LA. In Survivor: Guinea-Bissau, Lexi was the sweetheart, yet she played well enough to win the game.
Sue S., a 40-year-old customer service representative from Ontario, Canada. In Survivor: Balkhash, Sue backstabbed nearly everyone, but it paid off as she won.
These sixteen players are the sixteen who will be spending the next 39 days together in this wilderness vieing to be the sole survivor. As the fishing ship landed on a rocky shore of Elba, the host Adam told all the survivors to leave their backpacks on the boat and to line up on the coast. When they all did, he asked them all to step forward and introduce themselves. After they all did, Adam called them each forward and handed them their buff and told them their respective tribe. After everyone was assigned to a tribe, the two tribes separated and Adam handed Ryan from Campione and Eve from Tutto-Stella a map of the area. He then told them to go to camp and wished them luck. Both tribes started leaving, but before they went far, Bruce turned around and yelled, "Hey, Adam, where's our stuff?" Adam replied, "You'll get it, don't worry." At that, both tribes set out to begin their adventure.
As Campione disembarked, Ryan started navigating the tribe along the shore. Everybody was incredibly excited to start the game. Ryan did a great job reading the map, and they conquered the four miles of rocky and treacherous coastline in an hour and a half. As soon as they saw the blue Campione flag fluttering in the breeze, everybody ran over to it and formed a circle around it. Mike C. led the tribe in a "1, 2, 3, CAMPIONE!" chant. After the chant, Andrew and Bruce had to go to the bathroom. They left the group to find a suitable spot to go. After they were done, the two chatted for a moment.
BRUCE: Hi Andrew
ANDREW: hey
BRUCE It's Bruce
ANDREW: I'm still getting used to names
BRUCE: Which season are you from?
ANDREW: The first one.
BRUCE: Oh, I'm from the last
ANDREW: Me and Mike D....we don't like each other, I got voted out first in the merge because of Mike D.
BRUCE: Is mike D on our tribe?
ANDREW: Yes, and Ryan I've known like forever
BRUCE: Me and Ryan aren't on good terms
ANDREW: Oh, why?
BRUCE: I wasn't even the one who backstabbed him!!! But I was in the final 3
and at the finale when he was on the jury he urged everyone not to vote me and I lost.
ANDREW: ::laughs:: What a whore!
BRUCE: Then afterwards he found out that I didn't want him gone, then he was like "whoops"
ANDREW: ::laughs::
BRUCE: He supposedly wanted me gone since day 2, but we're on good terms now, and we're friends.
Meanwhile, back at the headquarters of camp. Mike D. got down on one knee. He asked the five others there (Jon, Missy, Mike C., Christopher and Ryan) to approach. He told them, "Guys, I know we just met, but I think we're going to be a really good tribe. We could be a great tribe if Andrew wasn't here. I can't stand the kid, and you won't be able to either. I suggest we throw the first challenge and vote him out right way." Missy replied, "I don't mind voting for him, but should we start throwing challenges right away?" Mike C. interrupted, "Yeah, we need numbers for the merge." Mike D replied, "I guess you guys are right, but we have to get Andrew out of here no matter what." The others nodded, and soon Andrew and Bruce came back to camp. As the others were mingling Mike D. pulled Bruce aside. Mike D. told him, "Would you be okay with voting Andrew out at tribal council?" Bruce wasn't sure he wanted to, but didn't want to become a target so replied, "Sure, I guess so." Mike D. yelled, "Great! Everyone's on board with the plan! I can't wait to get him out of here!" Bruce then went into confessional saying:
"Mike D very bluntly said that he wanted Andrew gone this tribal council!...however I'm not sure if I'm hearing the whole story from either of them. But I agreed to allign with Mike D, and to just kind of coast along until the merge, trying to be on the good side of everyone. The key is making the merge, and getting with Lexi and Jasper, and show them that Survivor Gunnea-Bissau can outwit, outlast, and outplay everyone! My alliances right now are completely bull shitted, and I HATE my tribe. People didn't get here by being nice, but they played dirty, and I don't know who to trust of these people. This is gonna be a tough game, much harder than Gunnea-Bissau, but I am ready to go full throttle into this thing".
Meanwhile, Tutto-Stella was having trouble finding their camp. Eve had passed the map to Dan originally, but they had been travelling on the coast for nearly three hours. While walking Lexi said, "Hey, guys, we obviously made a mistake here. This should not have taken so long. We should probably start back tracking." Jasper then said, "Hey, guys, I'll climb off this cliff here to get a good view and see if I can find anything." Jasper quickly climbed the cliff, leaving the girls astonished. Brenda said, "Wow, he's so strong!" Soon, Jasper descended and told the weary tribe, "I found camp, we just need to walk along for about ten minutes. We missed a short cut earlier." The tribe breathed a sigh of relief and thanked Jasper. They continued along the beach, and sure enough, they soon found the silver flag flapping in the breeze.
As they finally arrived at camp, they were exhausted and nobody felt like doing any work. They all quietly sat around the flagpole, except for Edison, who was sitting by the beach. The storm from the morning had calmed down, but it was still cloudy. Lexi decided to charm the group by telling them she had singing aspirations, and that she'd put on a concert from the tribe, with selections from Avril Lavigne, J. Lo and Christina Aguilera. After half an hour, Lexi was finished and the tribe was in awe. When Lexi was finished, the tribe decided to split up the workload, and James called Edison over to help in the discussion. Edison said, "I think the rain is done, so we don't need to worry about shelter tonight, we can sleep under the stars. James and I will go gather water, Brenda and Sue, why don't you see if there's any food here, Jasper and Lexi, you two should bring over some wood, and Dan and Eve, start a fire. Does that sound good?" Dan said, "Sure, why not?" The group split up and begun their chores.
On the way to the watering hole, Edison asked James to wait a minute because he had something to say:
EDISON: Hey, James, I think you and would form an alliance.
JAMES: I guess we probably would.
EDISON: Good! Let's align, ok?
JAMES: Well, maybe, I'll have to think about it.
EDISON: Think hard. I think we could we do well together.
James later privately commented on Edison's proposal, "Just because we were on the same Season it means he can do that, bad luck buddy!" Meanwhile, as Sue and Brenda, got to the watering hole, they felt so stupid, because they had no supplies. Thus, there were no canteens to bring back any water! Sue and Brenda each had a drink and headed back. Near camp, they started to have a conversation. Since they were friends, they agreed to watch each other's backs for now. However, they were in plain sight of Dan and Eve at the fire. Eve snapped, "I wonder what they could be talking about? I could never trust Sue again!!!" Dan later remarked, "Eve is a psycho!". Unfortunetly, for Eve and Dan, they were unable to get a fire going. Soon, night began to fall over the island and Tutto-Stella settled to sleep on the rocks, without a shelter or their backpacks.
In the middle of the night, it began to rain again. It was a pretty heavy rain, and no one could sleep with the rain. Everyone was internally growing mad at Edison for making them sleep out in the rain, but no one wanted to rub people the wrong way, so they kept it to themselves. As everyone got up at dawn, the rain had stopped and a little sun was even peeking through the clouds. All of the Survivors were in a bad mood, because they were in drenched clothing and couldn't change. Lexi and James decided that they needed to get out of their clothes immediately, so they both stripped naked and then dashed for the Mediterranean where they broke out of their bad moods by splashing each other in the water. Edison was just muttering, "Crazy kids" to himself and went off somewhere. The remaining five (Eve, Dan, Sue, Brenda and Jasper) decided that shelter and fire were the tribe's top priorites. Brenda and Eve went to work on the fire, while Jasper, Dan and Sue used the wood accumulated the previous night to work on the shelter. Since their clothes were wet, Sue ended up working on the shelter in a bra, and Jasper was just wearing underwear. After about thirty minutes, Brenda and Eve had a fire going, and the tribe had a rudimentary shelter assembled. The partially-clad Tutto-Stellians celebrated their acheievements by doing a victory dance.
The rest of the previous day and night was a big one for Campione. Missy guessed that it could rain again, so she suggested they create a fire and shelter that day and worry about food and water later. Everyone agreed, and Bruce and Ryan volunteered to work on the fire, while the other six began to start gathering wood and assembling a shelter. After a few minutes of working on the shelter, Christopher spoke: "Hey, guys, I'm not feeling too well. That boat ride wasn't the greatest thing for me. I'm going to lie down on the rocks over there for a bit, if you guys don't mind." Missy replied, "Yes, Chris, go lie down! If you need anything, come and get one of us, we'll be glad to help." Chris said, "Thanks" and Missy replied, "I hope you feel better." Meanwhile, while working on the fire, the Guinea-Bissau teammates, Ryan and Bruce, began to whisper to each other about strategy.
RYAN: Hey, Bruce, I know we've had our differences, but I'm willing to put them past us if you are.
BRUCE: Yeah, I think we both need to if we want to do well in this game.
RYAN: OK, alliance?
BRUCE: Ummmmmmmm, I guess so.
RYAN: Great, I had a great idea about how we could play this out.
BRUCE: Alright, I'm all ears.
RYAN: I think we could pretend to still be fighting, and each bring into two other people, not knowing of everyone else in the alliance. We'd be 6-strong.
BRUCE: That sounds good, but I don't think we still need to pretend to be fighting, it could get one of us voted out.
RYAN: Good point. Who do you think we should approach to join us first?
BRUCE: Missy seems pretty nice and genuine. I think she's pretty good friends with Mike C. too. Maybe them two.
RYAN: Alright, anyone else?
BRUCE: I kind of bonded with Andrew today, but I also "promised" Mike D. I'd vote for him.
RYAN: We'll see about that.
BRUCE: OK, sounds good for now though.
RYAN: Absolutely.
Bruce remarked on the conversation, "Well the first thing that came out of Ryan's mouth to me was "alliance?" I very hesitantly agreed, and if there is some way that I can get him out, I will go by it!" A few minutes later, working together, Ryan and Bruce were able to get the fire going, and by nightfall, the shelter was completed. Before everyone went to bed, Christopher and returned from his siesta on the shore, just feeling slightly better.
The next morning, everyone on Campione was relived that Missy had suggested they built a shelter when they saw the puddles from the heavy rain overnight. However, everybody was thinking about food and water. The tribe decided to
all go out to the watering hole to get a drink, since they didn't have any canteens. Near the watering hole, Mike D. spotted some wild berries. Jon determined that they were okay to eat, but everyone, feeling nervous about the berries, only ate a few. Christopher decided to abstain, thinking it would be best for him if he didn't eat anything that could be disasterous. On the way back, Mike C. noticed some treemail. He looked at it and saw a small telescope. On the telescope was inscribed a message telling them as soon as they saw something in the water to go out and get it.
Andrew, Christopher and Bruce took watch to see when he item would arrive, while the others (Mike C., Ryan, Mike D., Missy and Jon) went exploring for more food. While they were gone, Ryan decided to strengthen the alliance he had formed with Bruce by making an alliance proposal to the four of them and mentioning Bruce's name. Missy spoke for the group by saying, "I guess it's a definite possibility." A few minutes later, Ryan went off to go to the bathroom, leaving the four of them talk. Mike D. announced he was distrustful of Ryan's eagerness for an alliance. Missy agreed, but declared that none of them should let him know it, which could be disasterous. They all agreed by that. A minute later, Ryan returned, and after spending about ten more minutes looking for food, they headed back to the beach, where they saw the three guys (Andrew, Bruce and Christopher) in the water swimming back with box. A note on the box told them to take it to challenge beach, so Campione left their camp to attend the first immunity challenge.
On the way to the challenge, Andrew and Ryan lingered behind the pack. Since Christopher had been sick, Ryan figured he'd make a good first boot and asked Andrew into a "big alliance". Like the others, Andrew tentaively accepted. After this, Ryan raced ahead to chat with Bruce. Ryan told Bruce he had everybody except Chris on board with the alliance. Bruce could sense that the others were distrustful of him, so Bruce warned him: "Ryan, these antics could cause you to be the chopping block." Bruce's fears were confirmed when, later during the walk to the challenge, he asked Missy and Mike C. for a further sub-alliance, and Missy told him, "it was too early for an alliance, but I think the three of us should try to play together." However, strategizing stopped as Campione arrived at challenge beach.
By the time Campione arrived, an exhausted Tutto-Stella was already there. Eve, Lexi and Edison were sitting on top of their box. Adam then handed each player a treasure map gridded off into 100 different sections marked by a white flag on the beach. When the challenge started, each player would dig up a section looking for their key (they would be marked with their name). When all eight players had their keys, they were supposed to turn the box over and insert them to open the box. Inside the box were supplies, their backpacks and 50 puzzle pieces. Whichever tribe assembled their puzzle first would win immunity. In addition to immunity, the winning tribe would win a wheelbarrow to transport everything back in. Adam asked if the survivors were ready, and they all replied in the affirmative so the challenge began.
As Campione was running off, Edison called the Tutto-Stella tribe together. He delegated certain people to dig up certain squares. However, in the time it took Edison to do this, Andrew discovered his key, and Mike C. found Missy's key and gave it to her. Tutto-Stella quickly caught up as James found his key and Dan found his. After a few minutes, Bruce dug up Jon's key, and Christopher found Mike D.'s, giving Campione a 4-2 advantage. The advantage increased to 5-2 as Bruce found his own key, but Tutto-Stella roared back as Jasper and Edison found each other's keys and Lexi found Brenda's. After a few mintuse of being tied at 5-5, Eve thought she found Lexi's key and called her over. After analyzing it, Eve misread it and realized for some reason she misread and it was Mike C.'s key, who promptly claimed it. Walking away, Lexi muttered "whore" under her breath, and Eve yelled back, "I heard that, bitch!". However, soon Lexi found Eve's key and she handed it over, but Eve didn't say thank you. Lexi then promptly found her own key giving Tutto-Stella a 7-6 advantage with only Chris, Ryan and Sue keyless and still looking. Around five minutes later, Ryan found his, and a few minutes later Chris retreived his and Campione started to unlock their box. Sue was getting frustrated and yelled, "FREG! Where is my key?" However, as Campione began to assemble their puzzle, Sue finally found her key and Tutto-Stella rushed to open their box and started on the puzzle, while Campione's was about a third done. Tutto-Stella worked fast and furiously and was quickly narrowing Campione's lead. However, they didn't work quick enough, as when Tutto-Stella had just five pieces left, Mike C. announced Campione finished, and the tribe in blue enthusiastically celebrated their first immunity win. Bruce retrieved the wheelbarrow and immunity idol and Campioine triumphiantally marched back to camp, while a melancholy Tutto-Stella had their hands full carrying backpacks and supplies back to their beach. On the way back, Tutto-Stella overheard Christopher say, "lucky, we won immunity, otherwise I would be screwed!"
By the time Tutto-Stella arrived back at camp, it was already sundown. Everybody was down from losing the challenge, so they just changed close and went to bed in their uncomfortable shelter. In the middle of the night, Eve, Sue and Dan were all awake and had a conversation:
EVE: You awake, guys?
DAN: Yeah.
SUE: Yuppers.
EVE: Something really pissed me off at the challenge today.
DAN: Losing?
EVE: No, that damn Lexi.
SUE: What did she do?
EVE: She called me a whore!
DAN: WHAT?
EVE: Yeah, I thought I had her key, but I was wrong and she got all pissed off at me.
DAN: That's ucalled for.
EVE: Definitely, I want to vote that asshole out.
SUE: I'm sure she didn't mean anything bad, sleep on it.
EVE: OK, I guess so. Good night.
The next morning, the tribe went through their supplies. They were overjoyed to find out they received some rice. Brenda and Sue agreed to cook the rice. Edison and James went to use the canteens and bring water back to the dehydrated tribe, while Lexi and Dan went for a walk. Jasper and Eve lingered back at camp to work on the shelter. During their walk, Edison gave James a long lecture about why James should trust him:
"Well, we have to go for tribal council now. You know there must be trust between us even though I know that from Survivor: Tonga, if i didn't win the final 4 immunity, you would have voted along with Shane and Danielle to vote me out, but even that you can be sure that I won't play you out so you mustn't either. you see i'm planning to pull Lexi and Rve to our side of 4 then getting rid of Dan. Let me know what you think of this idea before I go ahead. But James, you must vote against Dan. You think you are the only one who wants numbers. I want to but you see this game is all about trust. I know you are happy to do what i tell you to do, so can you help me get lexi and eve over to our side" A shocked James told Edison, "Yeah, I'll think about it..." However, that was just a facade as James thought to himself:
"There must be trust? No there doesn't! 'Our side', excuse me, there is no 'us' so stop making people think I'm with you! And why would I want to vote for Dan if I could vote for you! Vote Dan? NO EDISON! I told Dan that I'm going to vote with the tribe with numbers, which I will do. Don't pretend to think you know more than me going 'you think you...' believe me Edison, I'm more aware than you. And I am NOT "happy to do what i tell you to do" And again Edison, there is no 'our side', there is Edison, and there is the tribe."
James and Edison collected the water in silence and returned to camp. Meanwhile, Dan and Lexi went to collect the water. On the way there, Dan asked Lexi, "Did you call Eve a whore at the challenge last night?" Lexi started getting emotional and told Dan, "I might have, I don't remember! I was just getting so damn frustrated with her! If I did, I didn't mean it and I'm sorry!" By the end of her speech, Lexi was bawling and hugging Dan desparately. However, Lexi was crying because she worried about the ramifications of her actions. As she explained, "I am feeling like a target
tonight, because Eve is telling everyone I called her a whore." When they arrived at camp, they were all sitting around eating their morning rice. After they finished, Dan and Eve decided to go swimming. While in the water, Dan told Eve that Lexi apologized for calling her a whore. Eve said, "That bitch should apologize to my face." The conversation dropped there.
Meanwhile, Edison took individual walks with Brenda and Lexi, and later on, Eve. On each walk, Edison started out the conversation by saying, "We need to vote for Dan. He won Survivor: Denali and he doesn't need to win again. James is ok with it, so with your help, we can all be safe" Like James, all three of the girls gave Edison wishy-washy responses, which Edison took as yeses, and later confidently remarked, "you will see from the first t.c. that an alliance is forming." Back at camp, Edison's "allies" of Brenda, James, Eve and Lexi all had a conversation. Eve asked James if he told Edison that he was ok with voting for Dan. James said, "Hell no! I told him I'd vote with numbers, but that was an excuse! I'm planning to vote for Edison myself." Brenda replied, "Me too, the guy is a total creep." Lexi continued, "Ooooh, I know! He never talks with us except when he wants to bitch us around or form an alliance. I can't wait to get rid of him."
However, Lexi still felt vulnerable because of the whole situation with Eve. Dan and Edison were also vulnerable for the vote, but another person who was worried was Sue. She felt like she let her tribe down at the immunity challenge, by being the last to find her key. She remarked:
"I hear everyone is voting Edison, but who really knows, just hope it's not me. At this point its sad to say, but I don't trust anyone except Brenda. I think Brenda and I will play together I think I can trust Eve...a little. And Lexi a little. Eve wants Lexi's butt right now, so I'm trying to keep Eve quieted down about that for now. I don't think for one moment my head is not on chopping block. I assume it is every time. It's an awful feeling I tell ya."
After spending a nervous afternoon around camp, Tutto-Stella embarked for the first tribal council of Survivor: Elba. When they got there, Adam greeted them and he explained that "Fire represents life. As long as they had fire, they had life in the game, so they should light their torches now, since they are alive in the game." After tribal council questioning revealed that Eve and Lexi made up a little bit, Sue was nervous, and Edison felt confident that he was safe. The survivors voted. Jasper and Brenda voted first, followed by James. On his card he wrote "EDISON" and said, "You have pissed me off the past few days and have really got on my nerves. You wanted an alliance Day 1, just because we were in the same season! You tried to make an alliance to vote Dan out, telling people that 'James is ok with it'. Even though I never said it was ok to vote out Dan, but what the tribe does as the majority. Good luck, no hard feelings." Lexi and Sue voted next followed by Edison, who wrote down "DAN" on his card and said, "He won Survivor: Denali, he doesn't need to win again." Dan voted, and Eve was up last. She was torn between voting for Lexi and Edison. She ultimately chose Edison and said, "No one has had a real conversation with you, sorry dude." At that, Adam collected the urn, tallied and read the votes:
"One vote each for Edison and Dan."
"The first person voted out of Survivor: All-Stars-Elba is:"
Edison got up and stared at James. He told him "you asshole" to his face and walked over to Adam without looking at anybody else. He put his head down as he heard the infamous words: "Edison, the tribe has spoken." He power-walked out of tribal council and Adam addressed the tribe: "Well, congratulations, you survived your first tribal council. That's only the first step on the long road of Survivor. You guys can head back to camp." The seven-member Tutto-Stella tribe arose and left the tribal council area.
NEXT TIME ON SURVIVOR:
Tutto-Stella is relieved to have ridden themselves of Edison.
LEXI: "I think it was a good idea now that Edison is gone. Getting himself stuck in that alliance mess did it for him."
And at Campione, the alliance mess heats up.
MISSY: "He was trying to make alliances with everyone and saying people had alliances with him when nobody agreed to them."
