So they fought hard to stay awake throughout the night. It was good for them that they were rescued the following day because staying awake is a very short term survival solution. A couple survived for 49 days in the fridgid Yukon Territory without food because they slept for most of that time. Learn how to stay warm, not awake. And, news media, it might be a good idea to consult with survival experts before printing stories about staying alive in the wilderness ! Deciminating wrong information in this field may not be such a good idea. |
