The aims and objectives for which the Village is established are as under: (Prabhupada Association for Vegetarian Awareness and Nonviolence) is dedicated to creating and stimulating an awareness among the public on physical, psychological, spiritual, social, economical and ecological benefits of a natural way of life, based on the concepts of non violence, applied to different levels towards: a) one's own body and mind and spirit b) other human beings' bodies, minds and spirits c) animals d) environment e) the principles of religion (i.e. truthfulness, compassion, cleanliness and restraint) In order to implement such objectives, PAVAN is meant to establish and manage centers to offer theoretical and practical education in the natural way of life, including: 1. sustainable development of territory, and protection of the areas risking environmental danger 2. natural health, hygiene and nutrition as basis for a progressive life in all sectors of society 3. inspiration and study of the vedic knowledge, including sanatana dharma, yoga, karma, reincarnation etc. 4. creation of permaculture ecological housing and guesthouse facilities as an example for builders 5. protection and inspiration for spiritually minded individuals who wish to spend time in holy sites 6. development of a progressive and self-reliant social structure for the benefit of the local people, especially in the fields of handicrafts, tourism management, organic agriculture, renewable energies, cow protection, etc. 7. exchanges and cooperation with national and international organizations having the same goals |
