Much of the information below has been found using census information in conjunction with the excellent Lancashire BMD site and marriages which took place at St Johns, Shuttleworth & Christ Church Walmesley have yet to be checked with the actual Parish registers which are on fiche at Manchester Central Library. Information on the branch of the family living in Tyldesley came from the equally excellent Online Parish Clerk site and again marriages which took place at St Georges, Tyldesley haven't been checked.
