BACK TO T Lavery PAST |
This is my husbands maternal line and we have just started our research.
We know very little and have no elderly relative to question.
Known facts so far:
The family are Roman Catholic and lived in Lurgan, Co Armagh.
Edward Lavery who died before 1946, was a shoemaker/shopkeeper with an address of 103 Edward Street, Lurgan, Co Armagh
He married in Lurgan in 1902 and had an address of Edward St. His father is shown as John, a weaver
his wife was Alice (McCaughley/Mcauley) and she died in 1974. Her father was James and she was living in Silverwood, Lurgan in 1902
Alice had a brother Dan who emigrated to the USA (Brooklyn)
We have details of a Margaret Lavery who died in Lurgan in 1949. We've no idea who she is but she must have been at least 60y when she died as she was drawing a pension, also she must have a gravestone as engraving is mentioned in the accounts as is an entry in the newspaper. |
