We are experiencing a lot of actions  these days in Bangladesh. An army supported caretaker government is trying to wipe out all the old garbage, like corruption, illegal establishments and unethical activities. Despite of all these efforts,  the market price of the daily consumer goods is  increasing rapidly. People are fighting just for survival.

Possibly the market will come down in a few days. But my concern is about the basic structure of the society. It will not change. The status of middle and lower middle class will remain the same. May be they will have a little bit more financial flexibility. But their position in the society will be same.

The middle and lower middle class people have no capital. They have only one thing by which they can change their fate. It is education. But it was never true for this country. The educated people were never in a good financial condition here. There is no relation here is this country between one’s academic qualification and eligibility and his financial condition.

How can a person migrate from lower class to higher class? How can a poor become rich? Is there any honest way (except lottery)? A number of dishonest approaches may be possible. But honestly? One of the answers is education A person will be academically qualified, get a good job, earn a lot of money and become rich. The most simple and natural way. But what is the situation of educated people in this country? How many people are getting good job and changing their financial position by virtue of academic qualification?

Do we have any hope regarding this in  future? Do we believe that we can form a society where the most educated and eligible people will enjoy the most honorable social position as well as lead the society financially and politically?
