Whether it be the lush greens of Hawaii or the beauty of an English garden, artist Susan Robinson captures the essence and calmness of an image and transforms it through her senses, and ultimately onto canvas. Robinson promotes, "It's all about placement of objects, color and how the energy flows through the entire subject matter...this is where I get my inspiration in finding the right connection for my piece".
Robinson's love of art was magnified the first time she arrived at the Hawaiian Islands. With the beauty and the tranquility of the islands surrounding her, thus when Robinson began her career. Her enthusiasm grew as she studied Monet's warm colors in his landscapes to Tissots' use of contrast and subtle French and English images he has created.
A Manhattan Beach native, Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications at Chapman University and has studied black & white photography where she has been awarded for her work. She presently lives in Southern California with her son and their many animals, along with her continuation of privately selling her works of art and being represented in local galleries and fine furnishing stores in Manhattan Beach.
