in 1969 to Mr. and Mrs. Duncan May in Pascagoula, Mississippi.
Graduated
from Moss Point Public Schools in 1987.
Earned
a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications from
Mississippi
University for Women in 1991.
Worked
as a newspaper reporter and in marketing before
entering
the field of education.
Began
teaching English on an Alternate Route Certificate
before
becoming fully licensed.
Licensed
to teach secondary English and Career Discovery.
Earned
certification through the
National
Board for Professional Teaching Standards in 2000. Will earn a Master's degree in educational leadership from the University of Southern Mississippi in August 2002.
Married
for almost 11 years to Kevin Stachowski and have two children,
Kevin,
8 and Christina, 5.
Currently
live in Moss Point.
