Rin means debt. There are three Rin which the soul has to pay before he leaves this world. These three Rin are of three Devtaa - Brahmaa, Vishnu and Shiv.

(1) Pitra Rin or Brahm Rin is of Brahmaa Jee and is paid off by helping continuing his Vansh (family line) - by producing children.

(2) Rishi Rin is of Rishi and is paid off by studying.

(3) Dev Rin is of Devtaa which is paid off by doing Yagya.
