Crispness in the air, giving us a taste of autumn
Telling us the snow's not far away
trees all dressed in natures' splendors, red and golden hues
It's October 31st. The night the goblins play!
Such a scary night for walking, better stay inside
Look at all those monsters passing byMummys, werewolves, frankensteins; just to name a few
It's the night when bats and witches fly!
Hide under your bed this evening - Do not make a sound.
Don't you hear the creaking on the stair?
I think I hear the wailing of a wolf that's on the prowl
Wish that he would go back to his lair!
Suddenly the sun is shining through the window pane
Praise the Lord! We have survived the night!
We breathe a sigh of great relief. Morning's here at last!
And Halloween is out of sight!

This haunted house is a sight to behold
I feel a cold chill from my head to my toes.
I'm shivering, shaking, and my head is aching.A spider just fell right in front of my nose!
It's quite dark in here and gives me such a fright.
I think that I want to go back where it's light.
There's lots of strange noises that I do not like;
The rattle of chains and the screams in the night!
Oh no! That looks like a guillotine
And a friendly face is yet to be seen
Is that a coffin there by the door?
Oh! I don't think I can take much more!
What kind of magic is in the air?
What terrors linger behind the stair?
I hear the flutter of wings! - Take care!
Is that a vampire over there?
It matters not - I won't dispair
This scary night. Try not to fear.
I know Halloween is a night to beware.
Thank goodness it comes just once a year!
