Sweet, Tryphosa

  Medical Notes:

Tryphosa Sweet married Oliver Dodge and they built a house in Ashdale, Hants Co., NS. The house is still there. I actually spent a night there before I knew of the link to my ancestry. I later discovered and viewed the family burial ground on the property. It is in need of restoration before it is totally lost to the ravages of time.

  Noted events in her life were:

• Property: Farm, 1818, Upper Newport, Hants Co., NS, Now known as Ashdale. I actually slept in this rambling farm house before I knew it had belonged to one of my ancestors. I later went down over the hill and visited the family burying grounds. Most of the stones are toppled over and covered by moss. I did clearly see the stone with Racheal Dodge, although I could not confirm if it was Tryphosa Sweet and Oliver Dodge's daughter or their son Williams wife, Rachael Card. William and Rachael also resided here.

Tryphosa married Oliver Dodge. (Oliver Dodge was born about 1790 in Nova Scotia.)
