20th September (Diary according to Michael King)

Today was Dan and Liz's last Day so after breakfast we bid them farewell. (I was however a bit rude by not really saying goodbye to Liz and just walking off) Dan and Liz caught the train back to England later on that day. Tim and I then headed off for Gare l' est where we caught the train to Luxembourg. Arrived in Luxembourg and checked into the Hostelling International Hostel there. Luxembourg seems nice but very small. Anyway we went exploring and checked out some cave complex. Got our pies that evening at a pizza place. I had an anchovy pizza but they forgot to put any cheese onto it very strange. We then went to a bar which was actually one of the best bars I think we had gone to. Had quite a bit to drink and talked a lot of bollocks. We the set off back to the hostel. It was then that I made a rather fatal mistake. I could not be bothered to sleep with my valuables so I wrapped them up in my trousers and stuffed them under Tim's bed (as he had the bottom bunk). I then went to sleep.
