29th August (Diary according to Daniel Hiles)

Woke up with pretty tired legs, have had same blister since 1st day of Amsterdam, weather looking brighter today but still not very hot! After walk yesterday we had an idea of what we wanted to do today, headed near Ostbahnhof for student area and long stretch of remaining wall. Had little walk along river Spree, then caught S-bahn across town, had snack lunch then headed for 'topography of terror' exhibition in cellars of SS and Gestapo HQ. Had audio tour then headed to Potsdamer Platz with Sony centre and Daimler-Chrysler etc., then headed for Reichstag, after 15 mins queue we headed to top, great view, evening had become really sunny, then walked up glass dome. Headed home, bought brekkie for tomorrow, then had kebab take-away, then we changed and headed near Ostbahnhof (Warschauer St) to check out some new bars, had erdinger krystall beer, nicest so far, comes with lemon, caught tram to and from.
