30th August (Diary according to Daniel Hiles)

Up early-7:30 am! To catch train to Prague, looks like it's gonna be a beautiful day. Train journey pretty slow but some great scenic areas in south Germany. Arrived a bit late in Holesevice station, worked out metro and still managed to get off 2 stops early! First impressions-Beautiful gothic museum next to McDonalds (???), not quite what we imagined! Found hostel easily looks to be in a good location. Sort out stuff and head off for wander through Wenceslas square then into old town, found Main Square with astronomical clock (this is more like we imagined!). Head to Charles' bridge and see artists. Head into lesser quarter and find beer for 19Kc (=38p). Really starting to appreciate the beauty of the city, headed back to hostel to get ready to go out. Get Gambrinus beer for 14Kc (=28p). Got into town a bit late all a bit tired, had snacks and was approached by a manky hooker the minute Liz left my side!
