1st September (Diary according to Daniel Hiles)

Have to get up at 9:30 in quite a lot of pain!! Bit too much Czech beer and Absinthe. Still raining! Have to leave room but are returning later to move into dorm. Feeling pretty bad we head into town for cheap brunch, wander round for a while, can't find man with photo I want to buy but get one equally (?) as nice. All pretty tired so head back to hostel, move into dorm (appears to be exactly the same as other room?!) and snooze for a couple of hours. Up, showered and ready to go out, find nice hotel and have posh meal, pasta-still only costs £4 including sprite and veg. Find bar to watch England game in and finally have Pilsener Urquell. 5-1 to England-glad we're not in Germany still, also glad that everyone else in the bar is supporting England-PHEWWW! After match find bar with Budvar most expensive beer so far but also the nicest 35Kc (=70p). Back to hostel for well deserved/needed early night.
