July 2001 Summary

Early migrants were beginning to pass through during July. A few wader species appeared at the southern end where the falling water levels exposed open mud. Highlights included two Little Ringed Plovers and small numbers of Redshank and Greenshank. A Black-tailed Godwit was a good find. Amongst the gulls an adult Yellow-legged Gull was found.
