March 2001 Summary

Foot and Mouth disease again meant that the reservoir was closed, resulting in viewing from the road only. Poor weather was also a problem, and the result was a fairly quiet month. The first spring migrants did arrive however, with singing Chiffchaff and Willow Warbler towards the end of the month. However, the highlight was the pair Shoveler, an uncommon visitor to Sutton Bingham.
