May 2001 Summary

After April being such a productive month, May was always going to be hard-pressed to maintain the flow of good birds. However, a passage Turtle Dove was an encouraging start to the month. Most of the spring migrants had arrived by the start of the month. A couple of passage terns mid-month were the only other birds of note.
