February 2002 Summary

Generally an extremely quiet month, but the highlight was the report of a ring-tail Hen Harrier, seen by a single lucky observer mid-month. Other highlights included at least two sinensis race Cormorants, some good numbers of Snipe and Shoveler, and a single male Ruddy Duck. However, the quietest period of the year is drawing to a close, and the next couple of months should bring in some interesting new arrivals (with a bit of luck)!
