January 2002 Summary

A bitterly cold start to the month was followed by an extremely wet spell, however, the birds were in good numbers when they were present. Highlights included five Pintail at the start of the month, several Shoveler on many dates. A Merlin was recorded early in the month, and the Peregrine was also seen.
