ENON LIONESS GAME SUMMARY FOR YEAR 2000
GAME 5 VS NORTHWESTERN
7 JUNE 2000

ENON LIONESS DEFEAT NORTHWESTERN 2 BY A SCORE OF 16-5............
The Enon Lioness team played Northwestern on the road and defeated the Northwestern squad by a score of 16-5 in a game that was called after 5 innings. The Lioness jumped out to a 4-0 lead after one inning and never let Northwestern back in the game. Amy K. again was a domineering force as she hurled a 1 hitter in 4 inings and struck out 6 batters to improve her record for the year to a perfect 4-0. Amy has only allowed 1 earned run and 7 hits all season. Hillary S. finished out the last inning in impressive fashion to quench a rally by the Northwestern team. Enon was lead on offense by Kricki K. who smacked 4 hits and scored 3 runs and Kelli H. and Erin C. who each scored 3 runs to contribute to the victory.

Some of the game highlights were:
OFFENSE: Kricki K., Erin C. and Kelli H. each scored 3 runs to lead the way. Shannon Y. was also on base all 3 times and scored 2 runs to help the Liones obtain another victory.
DEFENSE: Stacie C. again made an outstanding running catch in the outfield to rob the Northwestern team of a sure extra base hit. Kelli H. gunned down two runners trying to steal and Sarah D. played a flawless game at 2nd base as she made several nice plays to thwart the Northwestern team.
PITCHING: Amy K. continued her domination by overpowering the Northwestern team. Amy K. did not give up an earned run and only allowed 1 hit and struck out 6 batters in 4 innings of work to improve her record for the year to a perfect 4-0. Kelli H. and Hillary S. combined to finish out the game for the Lioness. .
