I was in 11th grade in my "Writing about American Literature" class.
We were reading quietly at our desks and I had a dictionary on my
desk, as I used it to look up words. A boy next to me asked to borrow
it for a minute and I granted permission. When he returned it to me,
though, instead of gently setting it back on my desk, he slammed it
down. This, of course, surprised me, causing me to say "God Dammit!"
as a natual reaction. It wasn't even that loud. Anyway, the teacher
got up, pulled out a copy of the cursing essay (an essay that you must
copy by hand for saying a swear word. Rediculous) and put it on my
desk.

Needless to say, I was rather pissed (remember when we used to say "I
was totally PO'd").

Ohhh... high school. Wasn't that fun?
