In Preliminary, Nove and Rural Riders tests, only ordinary snaffle bridles are allowed. In Elementary or Medium tests, snaffles or double bridles are permitted. It is obligatory to use a noseband. Either a drop, flash or cavesson noseband must be used with a snaffle bridle. A cavesson noseband must be used with a double bridle. Permitted Tack - Breastplates are allowed. Neckstraps may be used in Preliminary competitions and while riding in, but are not permitted in classes of Novice standard or above. Forbidden Tack - Bit guards, tongue straps, martingales, boots and bandages. (A substitute for a conventional show is not considered a boot in this context and is allowed. |
