This letter is done by Sten Sture, regent of Sweden, for Lasse Halvordsson 22 August 1482. The letter is written on parchment, with a small (and quite crude) illumination in the initial. The arms are painted in a square in the middle of the document and the text flows around the square. A large seal hangs from the upturned lower edge of the parchment. Of note is that this letter specifies who had requested the elevation.

Markland, öresland, and penningland refer to the size of the estates; they are taxed to one mark, öre, or penny respectively. One mark (half a pound of silver) is eight öre, one öre is three örtug, one örtug is eight pennies.
