That grabs you by the throat and makes you sit up and listen. Every word every note is like magic coming from the vocal cords. Feet stomping, Heart racing, music that comes so deep from inside that it can't be reached. Its roots are deep in the African jungle and is planted in the black mans soul. Only they can sing it the rest of us can only try, White men try to copy it, they pretend not to like it, but spend most of their lives trying to sound like the Black brothers. But the roots of soul are the black mans, The white man could not follow as they don't understand the beat, for them it is for ever out of reach. |
