Sundays with my FatherSundays my Father would take one of us up the mountains on long walks. The winding long roads of Ireland have to be seen to be believed, they are so beautiful with little stone walls every few yards and little rippling streams. We used to have some long talks especially of his beloved India. I soon grew to love this beautiful and mysterious country I used to close my Eyes and Imagine I was there. The smells of the spices and curry Indian music and the constant chatter of the market places all filled my thoughts. In my mind I was there, he made it so real for me My love of India has always stayed with me even though I have never been there. Dedicated to my father James Butler Jean McBurney. |
