Golden Leaves Fall in the Wind / / / / / / / / / / / / / /
    1/12/2004

Golden leaves fall in the wind
From branches gnarled and old
And they are borne
By tempest storm
To places dark and cold

Water trickles down from hills
In streamlets cold and grey
And through the clouds
That hang like shrouds
Falls sunlight's golden ray

Silent thoughts stretch out to thee
To thy enchanted hills
Thy mountains high
And fields are why
My heart with longing fills
