 ... a Language Odyssey

As you know, Delphi #9 will be the language of the first human mission to Mars

Why?  Easy answer...

First: there will be many Linux systems (on board and on earth control center)

Second: speed (and size) is always an important topic in space missions

Third: you cannot afford the risk of self-destroy your spaceship for a wrong sprintf argument

But remember: "do not lie to your programs ..."

We can also see this in new compiler version approach ...

M$ research is studying "Telepathy", but instead of providing an "Input" device: "you think, it codes", they concentrate their efforts on "Output" devices ...

Borland is following a different path.

A nice feature of Delphi  is that it was able (since version #1) to make coffee.

In new coming version #6, they've added a new feature:

"if you add another coin, you can get a coffee from every place in the world"

Living in Italy, I initially though that this wasn't much useful for me (I'll never take a "Zurich" coffee ...)

but when I realized that, with the same coin, I can get an "Irish" coffee, I said myself "WOW, I need D6!"

And, maybe more important, you can now import and use coffee of the most diffuse "brand" ...

    C# == D flat,

    D* := "Write once, talk to everybody..."
